- Straight Edge is Retarded. They have some sort of saying like "if my words dont work maybe my actions will" where there are many cases of Straight Edge kids fighting people for no reason. its a bunch of bull.

People would mark their hands at shows to show that they don't drink, and that they were proud of it. This tradition was adopted by many live music venues that serve alcohol. If you've been to any live place any had your hands marked to show that you're under 21, that's how that got started

That actually is a good name for this.
The X's on the hands are a symbol from the Straight Edge movement. The Straight Edge movement was started by a punk band by Minor Threat, and it was a hardcore punk movement against drugs and alcohol. - Report As Spam
