• This is the time where families come together and friendships swell with love
    The snow falls softly like a feather, pure and white like a gliding dove
    I look up at the gray sky while the town is bright and merry
    Toys, diamonds, golf clubs, and sweaters a mother will carry

    The families will cut the fruitcake, and eat the gingerbread with wine
    They'll enter the houses with presents and huge smiles that will shine
    The tree twinkles with a star at the top and presents underneath
    The door newly decorated with a festive christmas wreath

    The little girls will giggle with their shiny barbie dolls
    The little boys will roar with their nascars banging on the walls
    The teenagers will laugh, caught under a mistletoe
    The adults will joke and cheer, elegant parties they will throw

    Love, joy, and friendship come dashing down at this time of year
    All these high spirits make my eyes glaze and tear
    I cannot wait for the days to pass so this can all come true
