• Many flowers growing free,
Glorious colors for all to see,
    Purple, orange, yellow, white,
Crimson and scarlet - a beautiful sight.

    Pretty flowers growing free,
Buds and blossoms for you and me,
    Dancing gaily in the sun,
    A joyous sight for everyone.

Some are big and some are small,
Some do fade and some do fall,
The sweet fragrances I can tell,
Are from flowers which I smell.

    The gardens ferns and flowers,
    Had a friendly chat,
    The spoke for many hours,
    talking about this and that.

    One flower proudly said,
    " We're prettier than you,
The blooms in the flower bed,
Are proof that yhis is true. "

    A fern smiled and replied,
" You're colourful, that is true,
But we can say with pride,
That we do have beauty too.

We may not have any flowers,
    But we remain lovely green,
We may not match your colors,
But our beauty too is seen.

    You're pretty we can't deny,
With shades from purple to pink,
But your blossom will fade and die,
    Much sooner than you think.

While you boast of all your colors,
All that will soon be past,
We'll remain in sun and showers,
And much longer will we last. "
