Christmas Eve is a magical night,
Santa and all nine reindeer take off on their yearly flight.
Boys and girls all snug in their beds,
and dreams of Santa rushed through their heads.
While the whole world was at peace and ease,
last minute shoppers stood on line.
All were going to try and please,
but everyone would say, "Back off that's mine!"
While everyone pushed and shoved each other,
there was one who stood out the most.
He looked like a big brother,
but one who looked white as a ghost.
His hands held a toy or two,
but still expensive with the estimated cost being sixty-two.
One person stood between him and the cashier,
and it was an old man,
who looked honest and sincere,
but needed a chance to see the new year.
The old man had bought one gift,
and slugged off into the parking lot.
Now it was the young man's shift.
That's when he noticed the old man had forgot.
The old man had forgot the one item he purchased that night,
and knew what he had to do.
He dropped both of his, and grabbed this one tight,
and held onto it like it was stuck with glue.
When he ran outside with one thing on his mind,
he had ran and fell on his behind.
When he had realized what he had done,
a hand reached out and helped him stand.
While he stood the hand had said, "Looks like you had fun".
The young man looked and saw the elder man.
The young man chuckled, "At least I caught you,
you forgot this back there.
And when I saw it I knew,
that this would make your Christmas unfair.
Not only you, but to your family as well,
and if I have to suffer, doesn't mean you have to too".
The old man lit up and looked swell,
and the young man didn't have a clue.
Then the old man touched his nose because,
with a wink of an eye he became Santa Clause.
Santa picked up the gift and gave out a "Ho Ho Ho",
and then the young man noticed it had started to snow.
Christmas tears and filled the man's eyes,
and Santa said, "My friend, there's no need to cry.
You have done a great deed not in size,
but in kindness and oh my...
That's the greatest Christmas deed,
and this is no lie".
Then Santa called his lead,
and started to fly.
Even though Santa said not to cry,
he let out tears of joy.
Then noticed something and let out a sigh.
Santa make him feel like a little boy.
Santa left him a gift marked From: Santa, To: You,
and the package was marked in his favorite color, which was blue.
He unwrapped with the gentlest touch,
he knew that it was going to be small.
He then looked at the gift and thought it was a bit much,
but gave out a call.
"Santa", he yelled with a smile on his face.
"Thanks for my gift", he said has he bit his lower lip.
"No problem at all", replied Santa in his place.
"Just take care". Then Santa's sleigh did a flip.
And while the man held the magical ball,
and Santa's sleigh went out of sight,
Santa exclaimed, "Merry Christmas to all,
and to all a goodnight!"
Then dawn shown and came to his face,
and then holding the ball went back to my place.
And put it on my shelf where he always could see,
that this was the gift that the Christmas spirit came back to he.
And all because of that deed,
the magical, wonderful, Christmas Deed.
Merry Christmas, and Happy Holidays to all,
and let them be filled with joy and happiness.
