The snow fresh on the ground and still it comes down
The big, heavy coat you tug on for warmth and heavy gloves tat turn your hands different colors
The heavy boots, with the tassel you were waiting to wear
The crunch you hear with every step
The stores, full of push and shove
Bear shelves and loud sounds
The deep at the register telling you its safe to leave
The blaring cars and dark gray sky screaming night is coming
The steps to the one place where all the noise and snow...just stop
Shedding the coat, the gloves and those beautiful coat
The fire blazing and you set your things aside
With a warm drink in hand you plug in the plug
You sit at the window
Watching snow fall one by one
You turn to see the tree with the brightest star you ever seen
With a contented sigh you sit in front of the fire

- I imagine that it's like that all the time in the city. I'm from the country, so there's not too much pushing and shoving. Neither is there many car horns blasting out amongst the noisy clattering of people... I can envision this... Good poem 5/5 from a fellow poet.

I'm imagining shelves full of bears just staring at customers as they walk in. XD
And a deep sea register. XD - Report As Spam
