Tears crawl down the windowpanes
It must be that time of year again
When our speck of globe turns brown and white
Frosted buildings overnight,
The time when all seems quiet and sharp
The air tastes different; everyone carps
And rebels against change as humans do,
Despite their children loving You,
As the Earth tilts on axis to the sun,
And Demeter weeps for worlds undone--
The fallen leaves, crunch and shiver
Nearly time for Days of Givers,
And blessed Stars shine in the sky
As Orion flees the Scorpion’s eye
And the snowflakes swirling gallop by
Onward, they say, December.

- Title: Tilting World.
- Artist: DiscoDaemon
- Description: This poem was written in celebration of what people love this time of year; and what they miss when it's gone. There should be some subtle comparisons made to the Solstice, mythology, and other holidays such as Christmas. Light a candle and think of a wintry night. Enjoy.

Amazing! I love the way you see things happening, like 'Orion flees the Scorpions eye' which actually happens - but most people don't give the occurance a second thought, let alone to see it as fleeing for one reason or another. People who see things like you do are too few nowadays..
Nevertheless, you'll always have a fan in me plea. - Report As Spam
