Everyone referred to him as The Court Mystery. But in truth, for all they knew, he might not even be a man. This is not to say he could be a woman either - which he might - but that it might not even be... human.
Every month, exactly on the 13th, the King granted him a private audience. The matter of their business, however, nobody knew.
But one day, through a long-forgotten crack in the wall, a servant saw the King begging for forgiveness, as the Court Mystery sat on the throne.

- My entry is loosely based on one of the legends of King Sebastian of Portugal. The King is presumed to have died in a battle in north Africa, ending his dynasty. But legend has it he did not die, and King John IV who later rose to the throne was once seen bowing to a mysterious hooded figure who could have been the fated King Sebastian.
