• Hi, my name is Ari, as in Arianna. My dad's work gets us transfered a lot so I've never really had a true friend.

One day, I was really bored so I thought back to my years in grade school, (because I'm in high school) I looked in my year book and saw my old "boy friend", right before I moved he told me that we'd be together forver and that he'd never betray me.

Then, a year later the phone rang. It was him, "Hi." he said nervously. "Hi. What's up?" I asked casualy. "You know that promise I made to you a year ago." "Yea." "Well, I kind of have a girl friend now. Her name is Mattie." "Oh well," I started. I tryed to keep the tears in but they just poured out and I couldn't control them. "Are you ok? After you moved I couldn't stay single forever!" I listened to what he was saying and my heart was breaking in two.

"You know what, have a nice life and I hope your happy crushing someones heart!" I yelled into the phone before I slammed it down. I ran up to my room crying and tore down every picture I ever owned of him.

Then I wrote a list, it was called, What I Wish For, it was about the top things I look for in a boy.

    1. Loves me
    2. Honest
    3. Good Smile
    4. Good Singer
    5. Smart and Hot
    The list went on.....

Then my first day at a new high school.

When I walked in the school, it seemed everyone and I mean EVERYONE had a friend. I quitely walked to my new locker, not wanting to be noticed. I ran strait into someone. When i looked up, just to my luck, was a GORGOUS boy.

    "Hi, I'm Jason."
    "I'm Ari." I chocked out.
    "I'm sorry I didn't see you there."
"No prob. Most people don't care about the new girl." I answered picking up my things.
"Well they should, besides, I like the new girl." he said.
For a second, which seemed like hours we stood as I looked into his beautiful baby blue eyes.
The bell rang and we relized we were both late.
"Oh my gosh!" I shrieked. Tipicall, late for my first day at a new school!
"What class do you have?" Jason asked helping me pick up my books and paper.
"I have homeroom. It's the first class." I laughed.
"Oh right. Me too! I'll walk you there." he answered blushing a hard cherry red.
We ran in together and the teacher gave us noth detention slips.
After class and after detention we walked outside and it was raining.
"Some day huh. I'm sorry I made you late and everything." He said flipping his soft brown hair out of his eyes.
    "Don't worry, I had fun." I blushed.
We looked down for a while and he said, "Do you believe in love at first sight?"
"Maybe, I've been crushed a lot so I don't know what to look for."
    "I promise, I won't crush you."
    "Everyone says that."
"Yea but no matter what anyone else may say, I'm in love with you."

This may sound TOTALLY stupid but I felt a warm glow and something new and beautiful. I felt for the first time in my life that I was safe and loved by someone.

"This is happening to fast." I said suddenly.
    "Your right. Lets start over."
"I'd like that." I answered shocked that any boy could actaully have a brain.
"Hi I'm Jason." he said showing a grinn that made me melt.
    I laughed.
    "I'm Ari."
And then, as by magic, the world seemed to slow down and time stopped.
I looked one last time into his eyes and told him something I never wanted to say.
"Jason, I'm sorry but, I'm moving." I said as my eyes filled with tears.
"What?" he said, "I just met you!"
"I know, and I hate moving and I really like you but, my dad gets transfered a lot and I never stay in a place more than a year."
"But it's only been a day." he said.
"I know, but I already spent 2 months here couting the summer." I answered tears streaming down my face.
"I'll find a way to see you!" he said picking up my hand.
"I don't want you to ruin your life for me." I said grasping his hand tightly.
"I'd be ruining my life by not seeing you." he answered.

Then, he kissed me. It was the most beautiful thing! Sparks flew as we stood there in the rain, like a scene from the notebook.

And we said at the same time, "I love you."

    To Be Continued....

Jason is the man EVERY girl or at least I dream about and I wish he were real and some day I know that I'll find him, even if his name isn't Jason.
