• The Birth of a Legend: Neshira's Beginnings

The winds howled outside the small hut, carrying the cries of the far off battlefield to the women inside. Leaning over another, the oldest of the lot looked concerned and sighed heavily. "looks like we have to choose ladies...save the poor child..and her her babes, or let the spawn of that creature die...The women debated only a moment before deciding, the children they would save, and their young mother. Perhaps this was not a wise decision, but it was theirs all the same, and they stuck by it to deliver first a baby girl, already crowned with black fuzz on her head, and 15 minutes later, a boy, both wailing like the hells themselves.

    17,468 years later
All her life they had called her cursed, born during the bloodiest battle in history, her mother dead in the birthing, and most of all..her red eyes...demon eyes they called them, but she had never cared..for none but she and her village had known what those eyes meant. She was raised a lycan..a legendary creature...yet her blood was mixed, and always would be, tainted by the cruel man who had used her mother in his experiments to create the ultimatecreature...the twins had been a failure in his eyes, despite the power they did have, hers bent towards fire and darkness, his reaching to water and the light, it was not enough, and the demon had left her alone until her 19th birthday. On that day he sealed her and her brother into a deep sleep, assuming they would never awaken to see the sun again, yet they had, 13,000 years later, they arose. All that they had known was gone, so they parted and should have known, that the girl's soul would only ever hold death in its black depths. She Left that year, never to return the the town she was born in, no loyalties held her there now that her family was gone. She had many lovers, but no love, for it seemed, all who loved her...soon died. She was Neshira-Namea, the assassin, and one of the best at what she did. Death was her lover, and he was good to her indeed.
