• I arrived at summer camp, and it was my second year there; I couldn't wait to see all of my friends again!
I saw Sofie and Livvy running to greet me and my sister, Stephanie. Both of us dropped our bags and ran to them and hugged them each hard. It was sort of awkward at first, just standing there after only seeing them last year. But, as we lugged our bags up to Cabin 10, I had a feeling that things were going to get like they used to be.
    Head-spinning fun.
I claimed the bunk that I was in last year (except in Cabin 10, not 9), and Stephanie threw her stuff on the bed below it.
One by one, each of the other campers arrived. I loved seeing all of them again, but I had to admit that I was the most excited about seeing Sofie and Kristina again. I have to say that they were the ones that were the nicest to me and my sister; I knew Stephanie felt the same way.
And then...Olivia came. Last year, she was sooo imature and annoying, and I just KNEW she was going to be this year.
    And she was.
When everyone was settled, and all of our parents headed onto the road after saying 2-week goodbyes, all of us girls talked about...well...girl stuff.
I knew that this year was going to be a blast.

Olivia is such a jerk. She is just so controlling and she HATES me i just KNOW it!!!
    Well, I hate her too.
But Sofie and Kristina are always there to help me get over Olivia's insults and actions.
That's what friends are for. And I'm glad that they agree that Olivia is imature - who wouldn't conclude that after she insults EVERY boy in Cabin 4 and fights with them (physically), when she should just be cool and SHUT UP?
No one. That's what I thought.
Anyway, Sofie and Kristina are awesome.

Everyone is leaving today. Well, most of us...some are staying for 3 weeks.
I had that lump at the bottom of my stomach. I knew that departing from Kristina and Sofie will not be easy.
Everyone had their bags packed and some kids were already leaving.
After a while, Stephanie, my little sister Jenna, and I all saw our parents walking up the hill to our cabins.
We sprinted to them and hugged them tightly as if we wouldn't let go. We missed them so much.
We went back up to our cabins and got our bags into the car.
Now it was time for goodbyes.
We met Kristina and Sofie going down to their parents' cars. We hugged each other so tight and kept reminding each other that there was always next year, and IM and e-mail and our cell phones...but we all burst into tears anyway.
We left, but we knew that we would always see them again.

    Our friendship is indestructable. heart
