Chapter 1
The Rouge Thief
The room was dreadfully dark. Then suddenly a light of such yellows and greens pierced the room’s darkness and revealed a wooden table with two chairs. Right behind the chairs are pillars to keep the roof from killing the negotiators. This room was called the war room. The blood of hundred of men had been spilt here, but not only that, this is the room that ends the wars. We begin this story with a secret meeting in this room. A meeting that would doom mankind forever. A dark man waited, with his dark purpose floating in his mind. His brown hair covered the sinister glare of a demon. Suddenly there were more than just the presents on one man.
“So you took me up on my offer now did you?” A man stepped into the light of the stained glass window. “So do you accept my offer?”
“Well, six million gold would set me up for life,” A man stepped into the light on the other side of the table. “But were the assassins really necessary?” He lifted his bow and shot two arrows into the darkness. There was a plop and he put his bow back to his side.
“I paid good money for them, but I understand your concerns. So what will it be Fox?”
“Reito, you can address me as I am.” Reito gave a smirk and looked up, as if he was recalling wonderful memories.
“Fine, Roy. Will you accept the kings offer?” Reito held up a paper.
“So Reito, witch king are you referring to?” Reito let out a small gasp. He looked down and then from side to side.
“So you know my secret? About how I am bound to both kings by both sides of my family or how my father killed great Charles the III?”
“Reito, we have been friend ever since I came to this world. That was about when I was six and I’m 17 now so that was eleven yeas ago. So you don’t have to hide him anymore.” Reito started to chuckle, then it turned into a laugh, then the laugh got deeper and more demonic. Reito’s eyes started turning red.
“So Roy?” the demonic voice asked, “Are you in the mood for a little game?” An evil chuckle came from Reito. His hair started to grow and turned blonde. Light started to pour into the room and revealed Roy’s bow and tight leather pants. His black fur vest and black undershirt started to ripple a bit from a small gust of wind. Then, Roy took his bow and shot an explosive arrow at the wall. The explosion caused Reito to fall over. Roy ran to the hole and shot outside into the protection of the sun. He looked back and squinted to see what was inside the darkness. A white mask emerged from the darkness and floated to the ground witch Roy stood. There was a blast of darkness, Roy looked away. In that moment someone had emerged from the darkness. The man’s silver blonde hair flew in the slight wind. A mask covered half of his face. He wore a cape that was worn like a matador, the middle of it on the shoulder and flowing on either side of his body. Roy looked and noticed a very large sword by his waist
“So what do we have here?” the man asked.
“My name is fox, and I will be killing you today.” Roy threw out his bow and in an instant there was an arrow flying toward the strange man. The man swiftly dodged the arrow as if it were a sword swing from the slowest man in the world.
“So are you the one Reito always talks about, the rouge thief? The thief that turned his back on the thieves’ guild to learn magic? That’s pathetic.” Those words felt like a dagger stabbing Roy’s heart.
“What did you say?” Roy asked in sternness, “What did you say, you worm?” Roy threw down his bow and threw his hand up.
“Oh are you going to use your little apprentice spells?” He laughed
“ReyKaru Dovitchi,” Roy snapped his fingers and a blaze of fire popped out on command, “GO!” Roy flicked his hands toward the strange man and the blazing fire followed Roy’s command.
“Please,” The man put up his hand and swatted the fire away. “Is that all?” The blaze of fire turned around and tripled in intensity and flew four times as fast. The man looked over and before he could do anything the fire consumed him. The man fell to the ground.
“So what do you think of that?” Roy looked pompous, only to have his feelings cut in half and soaked in a shock sauce. The man got up.
“So, you do have some good moves. The name is Hollow. Don’t forget it, for it will be the last name you say.” Hollow jumped up into the hole in the wall.
“Hey!!! Get Back Here!” Roy jumped to follow, but a shield of darkness blocked his path. “Dammnit! How dare he insult my magic.” Roy picked up his bow and looked around. He realized that this was the very castle that his father declared war upon the first demon king. He sighed and started to find his way out. In his search Roy thought about what Hollow had said about his magic and wondered, ‘was it worth it? Leaving the guild? Leaving her?’ Roy found the entrance gate, started at it and fell back on the ground. Thinking about what became of his love. Roy fell asleep gazing at the clouds.
