• Lori and her mother stalked around the Anamore Kelekorme' Forest, refugees they were. Lori was wondering why they were wandering around in the foggy forest, covered in dirt and wrapped around in their cloaks, only used for outcasts.
"Mama, why are we wandering around in the deadly forest?" Lori asked curiously. Her mother looked at her with a misty expression, and forcing a smile on her ash covered face. Her daughter looked at her with such a paranoid expression, and the mother urged herself not to break down into tears in front of her beloved daghter. Lori hugged her mothers waste and cried sofly. "Mama, are we refugees?" Lori understood so much and Amanah could not help sobbing. She cried silently though, for no one could here them, in case they were being followed by the OKananhanah Soldiers. Lori let out a wince and her mother said firmly, "Hush, child. They may here us!" Lori gazed into her mother's light blue eyes and replied knowingly, "The OKananhanah Soldiers? I have heard of them, many stories during school." Amanah looked at her daughter, nodding with a solemn expression, and suddenly, a putrid smell filled the air, the smell of blood and death. The fog was suddenly very thick, and the two girls rushed through the forest into the foggiest part. Amanah panted and told her daughter, "Dear, I want you safe out of reach from those horrible men. They are after you and all I can tell you is...you have a mark on your sholder, the mark I concealed when you were born. I used an invisibility charm to make it dissapear so no one would figure out...the symbol of the Broken Vanity. I cannot give you anymore details, in case they don't know what I want you to know...in case they're near." Lori stared at her mother. Lori turned around and saw multiple shadows looming through the fog, and made out outlines of guns...maybe rifles and shotguns? Lori saw the faint shadows gliding towards her and her mother. Amanah held her daughter and started to wince as the figures moved closer and closer... "Duck!" Amanah yelled. Lori heard a piercing cry and a gunshot and saw her mother laying there and sighting a small red stain in her chest area. "Run Lori..." her mother told her daughter with a horse and weak voice. Lori started to run swifly, her little legs carrying her out of sight before you could say "Merry Christmas". Lori ran towards the heart of the forest, sighting wilting brown grass, leaveless trees, and weeds in bunches. Lori sat down in the center of the medow, and touched a blade of grass, turning it green and suddenly, every blade of grass turned bright green, trees regained their leaves, butterfilies and fireflies loomed, and flowers sprouted from the ground. Lori lay there in the moonlight when suddenly the putrid smell returned and a man stepped through the enterence, holding a 9mm pistol in his grasp. The man grinned and started to shoot at the little girl and Lori ran towards the man and ducked as the bullets fired. Lori hid behind the man and took out her blade...kkkkk...the man fell to the ground and Lori ran through another gap in the forest...away from everything....
