• Paradox

The forest was black and dead. The only light was the shine of the full moon above silting between the tree branches. A white horse galloped fiercely as a brown less magnificent slower one tried to follow. The white horse came to a screeching halt when it reached a shore line. The hooded person riding the white beauty turned around in time to see a shiny new crafted sword aim for her throat. She smiled at the person riding the brown horse. He big green eyes shining in the light of the stars and her fairly tanned skin glowing underneath celestial light. The man had a look of astonishment and the looked with a feral grin. “Akarusa Yami why do you hide behind a young girl come out and die in your true form.” The girl looked with watery green eyes “why would I die? I have a whole life to live and yet you make false accusations about my life ending it merely just began.” The man flinched as the girl wept he sighed and removed his sword. Only then did the moonlight reveal the color of her eyes. They had turned pitch black. She smirked as the symbols on her face became a glowing sirens song. The man jumped off his horse before it galloped away. “Akarusa Yami Daughter of the triple Goddess, sister too Coventina and incarnation of morrigan. I challenge you to a duel to the death! You’re your strongest and yet you ran I see why not. Why?” The creature who was part Dryad part princess to the Avalon kingdom and a true Paradox her self talked in a doubled over voice like two people talking at the same time in the most angelic sirens voice. “Why do you wish to fight? I have done no harm to you or your kingdom across MY lands and yet you wage war with Avalon and then destroy the forest of my lands to make your weapons? Do you not know what I am? Who I came from? What power I wield in my hands? I could easily stop your life by wishing it. You know that and yet you provoke me harder and harder with your persistent NAGGING!” her hands flew back and the ocean behind her disappeared. The wind around them became stronger and stronger. The small and powerless man in front of her held on to his shield in fear of falling off. She spoke again. “And since when did you decide you where going to kill me in my true form. I’m a paradox once created I keep the balance of the world. I cannot be destroyed I am the ruler of Avalon and your worlds. I hold the portals and keys. I hold your life, -a mass less shapeless light formed in her hand- In my hand as we speak.” She took her finger and ran it through the cloud quickly. The man fell to his knees. She smirked and got back amongst her horse. “Now if you’ll excuse me you’ve wasted enough time as it is goodbye!” The blue eyed girl rode off across the now dry ocean bed. And as soon as she was out of sight the ocean repapered. The man lying in the fetal position rocked back and forth as his sword lay and inch from him and a carved AY lay on his stomach glowing like a beacon
