• Aagen Yakira of Vampire Grove

    Next stop, Vampire Grove.
We enter the lives of a nineteen-year-old vampire (Caden Xion), a twenty-year-old vampire huntress (Alex Shade), a nineteen-year-old vampire huntress (Kina Jinx), a twenty-three-year-old werewolf (Koby Ferris), and an eighteen-year-old werewolf hunter (Aagen Yakira). It’s odd how you have a vampire, three people, and a werewolf become friends. But it’s just fates choosing. These five friends are on a quest for adventure.
There adventure starts just miles away from Vampire Grove.
“Wow, we’re almost there.” Kina was excited.
“Don’t jinx it Jinx.” Alex said.
“I won’t jinx it. Besides, what’s the worst that can happen?” Kina questioned.
“The wheels beginning to come off the tracks.” Koby said looking out the window.
Everyone went to the window. The wheels were going to come off the tracks.
    “Nice going Jinx!” Alex said.
“Ain’t my fault.” Kina said as she pouted.
“Quit the yip yap, and start helpin’!” Caden yelled at Alex and Kina.
    Alex and Kina stopped arguing.
“So who’s going out of the train to fix it?” Kina asked.
    “I guess I will…again.” Aagen moaned.
Aagen leaned out of the window. Kina and Alex grabbed his feet.
“Ya see somethin’?” Caden asked Aagen.
“Uh…?” apparently Aagen didn’t see anything that would make the train come off its tracks.
Koby looked out the other window.
“Hey guys….what word starts with a ‘D’ and is on a sign?” Koby asked.
    “’Danger’!” Kina answered.
“’Didn’t you idiots read the danger sign thirty miles back?’?” Alex answered.
    “Alex is right…again.” Koby said.
    The others began to panic.
    Crash.
“Too close for comfort.” Aagen panted.
“Ya’ll was scared! Bwa ha ha ha ha!” Caden laughed.
“You were scared too.” Alex said as she was getting ready to punch Caden.
“Maintain Alex.” Aagen was trying to calm Alex down.
“Where are we exactly?” Koby asked.
Every one had no clue. The small group walked about five miles before they stopped.
“Uh…Aagen, I need to tell you something.” Kina said as she blushed.
“Oh god, things are getting serious on this trip.” Alex muttered.
“Wh-what is it?” Aagen replied. He began to blush.
    “Well…” Kina started.
“Kina, don’t tell me that you’re…!?” Koby was getting worried.
“I never knew Kina could be so open minded.” Caden cried.
“I thought she’d never do this in her whole life.” Alex was freaking out.
Aagen closed his eyes and waited. Everything went silent.
“I wanted to tell you that……….your fly is down.” Kina finally said.
Every one fell in the snow.
After everyone finally got up, they continued their march to the nearest town. They had hoped Kina wouldn’t stall them (or jinx them as a matter of fact) again. They reached a small town in near London. There were very few people out, and the ones who were out, they looked at the small group as if they were freaks.
“What are they staring at?” Caden whispered.
The others had no clue. They went to a country road.
“Where does this lead?” Caden asked. He was full of questions in the odd town just outside of London.
“’Beware of the vampires of Vampire Grove. If you value your life, you would step no closer.’ How rude. Keeping people from an adventure. The nerve.” Alex sulked.
“If it says ‘beware’, then we shouldn’t listen. Let’s head for an adventure.” Koby cheered.
    Everyone except Kina cheered.
“I knew we should’ve gone down to Florida.” Kina moaned.
“You’d only jinx it, Jinx.” Alex scoffed.
The small gang went down the path to find out what they should be aware of. Surely it wasn’t that bad. But what they didn’t expect was the expected.
“This is getting pretty spooky.” Kina said.
“You scaredy cat. C’mon Jinx, I thought you were brave.” Alex teased.
“But when the sign said ‘Vampire Grove’, I think they were telling the truth. There’s probably vampires waiting to suck our blood, kill Koby, and then make Caden part of their clan. I blame you Aagen. You had to choose the creepiest place for a vacation.” Kina said. The others couldn’t tell if she was thinking with her brain that no one knew she had or if she was exaggerating as usual.
“This place is pretty cool.” Aagen said. “Besides, it’s probably some young juvenile delinquents playing a hoax just to scare passer-byes.”
Kina made a face as if to say ‘Juveniles my butt, if you get bit by a vamp, I ain’t going to save you, instead, I’ll slay you. Hah!’.
“You’re such a scaredy cat.” Alex teased.
“There’s nothing to worry about. You have us.” Koby comforted.
“That’s what worries me.” Kina teased back.
The small gang continued their march through the path. Just then, Alex and Kina were gone. There was a loud scream.
    “W-where’d they go?” Caden whimpered.
    “I-I don’t know.” Aagen said.
    “Maybe they’re hiding.” Koby said.
“Yeah right. Those two wouldn’t do something like that.” Aagen tried to say.
Two shadowy figures came up from behind Caden and Aagen. The two shadowy figures grabbed them.
“WAAAH! You two scared us.” Caden said.
“Yeah, you should be ashamed.” Aagen scolded.
The two shadowy figures picked up Aagen and Caden then disappeared. All that was left was Koby.
“Guys? Where are you?” Koby was afraid.
In another part of the forest, Kina and Alex were lost.
“I should have never listened to you. You’re such a jinx, Jinx.” Alex was frustrated.
“Well sorry I got scared and freaked out.” Kina said.
“Most likely the guys heard you.” Alex joked.
    “Help!” came a shout.
“What was that!?” Alex said as she jumped into Kina’s arms like in those movies that seem so real but aren’t.
“No clue.” Kina said as she dropped Alex.
Alex got up and dusted herself off.
“Wait. That sounded like Koby. We have to help him.” Alex said.
Alex and Kina ran to Koby’s rescue. They finally found him.
    “What happened?” Kina questioned.
“S-something came and k-kidnapped Caden and Aagen.” Koby stuttered.
Alex and Kina stared at each other. They looked as if they were thinking, “Who would kidnap those losers?” and what do you know, they were. Two losers getting kidnapped, that would only happen if they were wearing princess gowns and then trapped in a tower guarded by a fierce fire-breathing dragon.
“Did you know who kidnapped them?” Alex asked.
Koby shook his head. He began to tremble.
“Well they’re out of our hair now.” Alex cheered.
“I think we should find them.” Kina said.
“What? I thought you were afraid. C’mon Jinx, why do you want to look for them. This place is creepy.” Alex said.
“We should call a rescue squad.” Koby whimpered.
“Well, this will be an adventure. You know, like those ones we did when we were young.” Kina said laughing.
“Well first off, we were immature, second, we used our imagination, and third, we used like thirty or so boxes that your parents had in the basement for our so called ‘adventures’.” Alex said.
“You always have to rain on my parade, don’t you?” Kina sighed.
    “Yep!” Alex laughed.
Koby quickly turned into a wolf.
“I may be able to find them better if I sniff them out.” Koby said as he sniffed the air.
    Koby began to tremble.
    “What’s wrong?” Alex muttered.
“I can smell Caden’s irritating cologne.” Koby whined.
Kina began to laugh. She knew a dog, or in this case a werewolf, had a stronger sense of smell than most normal humans. So Kina was being mean, as usual, and laughed. Koby gave her a glare but Kina didn’t notice it because she was laughing so hard that she fell to the ground crossing her arms as if her lungs were going to fly out.
Kina finally caught her breath. Then she, Koby, and Alex commenced onward. They just had to find their friends. Kina was thinking that the worst had happened.
“Do you think that they were vampires that want to suck Aagen’s blood and then make Caden part of their clan? Then they’ll come for us, destroy Koby, drink my blood, and then take Alex and force her to marry the head of the vampire clan the Caden would have to defy the clan and destroy them all just to save Alex. That sounds right, right?” Kina asked in one breath.
“I don’t want to know how you think. Your mind is pretty scary.” Alex said looking as if she was thinking ‘Go way foul demon.’ But really, Alex was thinking ‘Did she really come up with that, or was she thinking about for some time? Oh no, she said it aloud. That means it will happen. Oh no! I loath thee you jinx!’. Alex was pretty scared.
“You two are weird. Now let’s go, we’re getting closer.” Koby said running and yelling at Kina and Alex.
Koby, Alex, and Kina halted at a rather large mansion. They all looked up at it in unison. Kina pointed up at it.
    “That’s huge.” Kina stuttered.
Alex sighed. “Are they in there, Koby?” Alex asked.
    Koby nodded.
Kina pushed open the rather large door open.
“Hey, if this is so huge, do you think a giant lives here?” Koby asked as he was looking around.
“Oh yeah, that’s why it’s called ‘Vampire Grove’.” Alex said with sarcasm. “You’re such a dork. When a sign says ‘Vampire Grove’, it obviously means that a vampire clan lives here.”
“Hey, Alex has a point. Always look for the obvious and the expected.” Kina laughed.
Koby turned into a human again.
“There are vampires around. Not just Caden, but a whole clan.” Koby said.
They walked through the foyer. The door slammed shut behind them. Koby freaked out and jumped into Kina’s arms just as Alex had earlier. Kina dropped him.
“Hm. Let’s try this door.” Alex said as she went to a huge door to the left (from the position if you had just walked in from the door) of the staircase.
The three pushed open the door. There, they saw Aagen and Caden. They were sitting at a dining room table with a bunch of vampires. Koby jumped into Kina’s arms again.
“Oh no! The worst had happened. Aagen became a vampire and they both are now part of the clan.” Koby shouted.
“Stupid. It’s only a party.” Aagen said.
Kina dropped Koby once again (Kina’s good at catching people. I guess that counts for something.).
“So, let me get this strait, you weren’t kidnapped.” Koby asked as he was still on the floor.
    “Nope.” Caden said.
“But two of them carried you two off.” Koby whined.
“No. They only startled us. We followed them.” Aagen said.
“I think I get it. Koby was so afraid deep inside, he thought he saw you two in danger.” Alex said.
    “Right as usual.” Aagen said.
    Alex smiled.
The trip to London was new, but what other adventures wait for them next?
    “Florida?” Kina asked.
