• I glance out my window-its still dark outside. "It doesn't matter" I tell myself. My fingertips are shaking with excitement and I cannot stand sitting here, waiting, any longer. I hop up out of my bed and race to the hallway. I'm half-way there when I realize that I am not alone. I make a 180 in slow motion, my eyes squeezed shut so I do not have to see the face of my follower right away. One eye at a time, i am entranced by the a man with rosy cheeks, a long elegant white beard, all decked out in a big red suit. Slowly and cautiously, he winks at me, then I passed out.

When I awake, I am back in my bedroom, snuggled up in the covers. It is still dark outside. I am feeling a little hazy and I can't decide whether or not I dreamed up my magical encounter. So, being of curious mind and full-bounding heart, I silently sneek back out of my bedroom. Feeling a bit double-0-seven, I continue creeping towards the living room. I can already see the glow of the christmas tree, which shines over to the empty plate of cookies. This makes me lose hope, but I continue to search the room. It is empty. I feel a horrible gurgling sound from within me and I can't tell whether its from hunger or the denial of him not being here.

I plop myself down on the couch facing the window, and cry. Its probably not the most adult thing to do, but it felt right at the time. I was in between sobs when I heard a loud thump on the roof. "No way." I wimper to myself, shaking my head. Reluctantly, I start to get up to go put my boots on, but I only get two steps before there is an army of these little bumps and clunks on the roof, and then it stops completely.

I turn to look out the window, and I am startled by a red sleigh, stuffed with a humoungus red bag and a person that I have sang way too many songs about for not even knowing the guy. He is being pulled by the most gorgeous creatures I have ever seen in my entire life, reindeer. Right outside my window, I stare into Santa's big jolly face as he winks at me once agian, before flying off into the night.
