• He had me against the wall, and stared into my eyes with pure earnest. Nervously, he lifted up his hand and his knuckles pressed my cheek, which ran warm with blood. His skin was soft like fleece. I closed my eyes as his hand traveled down to my neck.

“Devin, what about-“ He hushed me.

“Don’t talk, Rachel.” He breathed hard, “You aren’t making this any easier for me.” He smiled shyly. The dimple in his cheek lit up his face, and his eyes glittered. “Now, hold still.”

I froze as he bent a little to match my level. Our faces were so close. I couldn’t help but to breathe in small gasps. Devin eased in tilting his head slowly. His hand went down my arm, then wrapped around underneath to my waist. His fingers ran up my spine, and I shivered.

He gently kissed me. My hands found their way up to his head. I pulled on him wanting more.

He pressed against my body. There was nothing between us. I felt dizzy, but at the same time I never wanted this to end. I couldn’t let go; it was impossible. I gripped his hair and kissed him more intently. He rubbed my shoulder blades. I slid my arms down his body until I reached his lower back. I attempted to get him even closer. I traced the bumps on his back lightly, like a feather. He pulled away and gulped.

    “I’m sorry.” I whispered.

He grinned sweetly, “No, no. It’s ok…I just wasn’t expecting that. “ He blushed. His eyes were so beautiful; a perfect light blue with a hint of gray. They were soft, and some-what longing. I lay my head on his shoulder, and sighed, “I love you.” It took me a second to realize what I had just said, “I love you.” I lifted up my head and was filled with bewilderment, “Devin, I love you,”

I rose off of the ground onto my tippie-toes and kissed him again for only a second, “I love you Devin.”

He eyed me and replied, “I love you too.”
