• He woke up, panting and covered in sweat. He sat right up in his bed.
‘It…it was just a dream…’ he said relieved.
Even though it was in the middle of the night he splashed some water is his face and put on his clothes.
He looked in the mirror. A young man, 23 years old, looked at him. Desaia had short blond hair, bat-wings and hazel eyes, but the most outstanding was his right arm: it was a skeleton arm. It had a strange vibrating aura around it. This was because he was a member of the enchanted arm clan.
While he walked down the stairs he got some gold out of his pouch and put it on the bar, than he walked to the door, opened it and stepped through, into the warm summer night.

He pulled out his swords, just in case he would encounter enemies.
While he walked on the sand path, through the rice fields he saw a man standing on the road. Carefully he walked to the man, grabbing tightly on to his swords.
As he stood in front of the strange man, Desaia discovered that the man was sleeping. The strange thing was: the man stood right up.
Suddenly the man opened his eyes! Frightened Desaia stepped back, ready to slice the man into pieces.
‘I won’t harm the living, young man.’ The man took off his straw hat, revealing his bald head. ‘Only the dead should fear me…’ He sighted. ‘Well… not all the dead, but just the aggressive ones.’ He scratched his head. ‘Oh well… maybe some stupid ones too, but it doesn’t actually matter I guess.’
‘By the way, nice arm’ the man said, pointing at the skeleton arm. ‘Enchanted arm-clan I suppose?’
Desaia looked at the strange man and nodded.
‘I thought so and… ah forgive my rudeness’ he said ‘My name is Iraxar, guardian of this road.’
‘Guardian of this road?’ Desaia asked him ‘Why would you guard this road? There’s nothing to protect here, right?’
Iraxars voice became dark ‘There is evil roaming over this roads at nights, when there’s a full moon, and even though there is no full moon yet, some times the dead stand up from there graves and walk over roads like this one, to the close cities to hunt for human flesh and souls.’
‘So’ his voice went up again, and all cheerful now he said ‘are you here to keep me company?’
‘Not really…’ Desaia responded ‘I need to go on.’
    ‘Where are you heading?’
‘To a friend, he sent an urgent message.’
‘Where is that friend of yours?’
‘In the woods of Riohk’Tzar.’ He bit his lip.
‘That’s pretty far, but if you go straight to the north, and walk all night, you’ll be there by tomorrows sunset.’
‘Thanks’ he turned around and walked away.’
‘Never let your guard down!’ Iraxar called after him.

When the sun started to rise, Desaia reached open field. He put his swords in the sheaths on his back. Right in front of him there was a river flowing through the plains.
‘Ah man, this really sucks!’ He looked around, but there was no place to cross the river without having to swim. As he went to the river he saw a flock of Gaor’s crossing the river.
Gaor’s look like dogs at the size of horses, but instead of a normal coat they have spikes like a hedgehog and a green color. They are herbivores.
    ‘Hmm’
Desaia ran to the Gaor’s but got careful not to disturb them, or his plan would fail. After a few of the Gaor’s stepped into the water, he did too a couple of meters away from them and he swam together with them to the other side of the river. Since the Gaor’s slowed down the water for a bit he could swim easily without being pulled with the water.
After he climbed out of the water and rested on the riverbank. He was so tired that he fell a sleep in a few minutes.

He woke up from the hunger when the sun stood low in the sky. When he was eating some meat he kept in his bag, a man on a brown horse stopped by.
‘Are you Desaia?’ The man asked him.
‘Ywes’ Desaia answered with his mouth full of meat.
‘Than please come with me, I was sent by XinHun-dono to pick you up.’
‘Really?’ he said surprised. ‘Wait, you said XinHun-DONO?’
‘Yes and we were hoping that you would have a horse or something to ride on, but when you didn’t arrive this morning, he sent me to look for you.’
‘That’s very kind’ Desaia smiled and stood up. ‘I’m sorry, I was so tired that I fell a sleep after crossing the river this morning.’
‘Did you travel all night long?’
    ‘Yes.’
‘Than it’s understandable. Please step on, so that we can go.’ The man reached his hand to Desaia and helped him on the horse.
    ‘Thanks’
‘Hold on tight’ He grabbed the reins. ‘Hiya’ And the horse started to run.

They went to the north, and in half an hour they reached the first tree’s. Desaia look at the mans face and saw his ears: they were pointy.
‘Hey’ he shouted ‘You’re an elf!!’
‘Yes I am’ he answered cool.
‘But I thought you were all dead!’
The man grinned ‘As you can see, we’re not.’
They rode into the forest of Riohk’Tzar, and after fifteen minutes the stopped at a huge tree.
There stood a young man and a little girl waiting for Desaia to arrive.
