• [ Inner Struggle ]

My body slammed on the floor, the taste of dust and dirt filled my mouth. I looked up at the tallest of the boys with some faint hope of being let off without any more attack. My look was returned by the tip of his sneaker directly between my eyes. For a brief moment every thing was blurry all in a swirl of slow motion as my body flipped over landing the back of my head firmly against the floor. Every thing was black for a while, almost as if i was instantly put to sleep. I had never been unconscious before so i assume that's what this was. I opened my eyes and immediately closed them tight. The light stung, sending an instant surge of pain into my already beaten head.

I slowly pried my eyes open letting my eyes adjust to the light gradually. I staggered to my feat, the sticky warm sensation of blood making it self known on my forehead. The sun was setting, i must be at the very least three hours late, i would be more worried about what my parents would think of me coming home so late without an explanation. That was my normal thought process, but now i wanted revenge, was starving for compensation for my crime. I wanted justice, but i did not want a fine or jail time, i wanted an eye for an eye. I wanted them to know what it felt like to be cheated by an unfair advantage and left for dead on the bleeding floor. I scooped up my bag and began to head on my usual route home. My balance was still off either from the fact that i'd just regained conciseness or the loss of blood.

I fell to my knees, my hands flung forward to break my fall. I noticed a cold sensation on my right hand, different from the rest of the grass. It was metal and smooth, it was slightly buried in the dirt. I dug my nails into the earth and withdrew the curious item. It was a gun, a small snub nose revolver, it shinned in my hands as the dirt slid off with ease. My dad had a model of a western revolver in his garage, although this one was much more modern it had the same unlocking mechanism in the side. I looked into the chamers of the gun and saw that there where six rounds ready, a full revolver to fire. I locked it and held it in my hand marveling at my luck. The tools for instant revenge was literally in my hands. I looked up from the gun for a moment to think about my next move.

"This must be a test from god," i said to my self . I could see them, all three of them walking down the lane no more than a stones throw's distance away. Instinct took over, my body moved towards them without any message from my head. They didn't take notice to me yet i kept my hand tucked in my pocket, the revolver gripped steady and tight. I pulled back the hammer with my thumb, and kept my speed steady towards them. One of them noticed my me coming, he alerted the other two to my curious approach, "Hahaha deasavu," the tallest boy said, giving his knuckles a crack.

All three stood facing me now, waiting to see what pathetic attempt at retaliation i would bring. Not knowing the doom that awaited them. I was within point blank range now. My hand emerged from my pocket dawning my fatal surprise. I set my sites on them, their eyes lit up with fear. A sick smile naturally decorated my face. I pulled the trigger, there was a white noise in my ears, i didn't hear the bang. But i would see my damage, one fell hitting the ground, blood spewing from his chest. The other two stepped back in utter shock, i set my sights the other b*****d, saving the tallest for last, letting two rounds fly from the gun into his torso. My grin grew wider as this sensation of adrenaline coursed through my body. I felt like a god, a demon summoned by Satan himself to smite the wicked. The tall boy, the stupidest ******** of them all was left frozen in fear. I delivered a round into his leg, watching with pleasure as he fell to the ground screaming in pain.

He crawled away making a sad attempt at escape, I kicked and stomped at his ribs until he flipped on his back. "Desavu huh ?!," i yelled with that same smile on my face. He began to cry and whine, but this did not cause any remorse in me, instead it just fueled my lust for his blood. I plunged the last two bullets into his head and fell to my knees. I stabbed the barrel of the revolver into the gaping hole in his skull. I began to laugh, I had never heard this laugh come from me before. It was sick and evil... but i liked it. My hands dropped to my side and my face tilted towards the sky. My laugh was loud and hysterical now.

I shuttered, the very imjage made me sick. I got to my feet and saw the group of boys walk by. They laughed and joked as they made their way down the street off to where ever they may have been heading. There was a beer bottle next to my feet wrapped in a brown bag that had been discarded by some drunk who had wandered through the park earlier today. I tossed the beer bottle to the side, unlocked the chamber and dumped out all six bullets into the grass. I nestled the snub nose in the bag. I made my way across the field to the small creek that ran strait through the park. I pitched the package into the deepest side of the creek and made my way home. I had won my inner struggle.
