• Fenwick began swearing most foul curses and running around even faster, cussing so rapidly that Tal and Knight couldn't comphrehend the creature. The two blushed and Knight let go of Tal. They then patiently waited for the pine martin to calm down.
When he finally ceased scurrying about and calmed down, he gave Tal a smoldering look. "My I speak to you for a second?" he asked Tal pointedly.
Tal stood up and Knight made to follow, but Fenwick put his paw up and gave him a glare. "Not you. You stay here." he ordered, pointing to the ground.
Grimacing, Knight reluctantly sat back down, longing for Tal's presence.
Frowning angrily, Tal followed Fenwick. "Would you mind telling me what this is all about?" she questioned, quite peeved at him for ruining her moment of romance.
Fenwick quickly turned around to face her, his eyes wild and bewildered. "WHAT IS THIS ALL ABOUT?! I'LL TELL YOU WHAT THIS IS ALL ABOUT! YOU WERE KISSING HIM AND BEING EMBRACED BY HIM! WHY WERE YOU LETTING HIM DO THAT?!" the martin snapped, jumping up and down like a small child during a temper tantrum.
Tal raised an eyebrow and put her hand stubbornly on her hips. "Because I'm in love with him! That's why! I've never felt the way I do when I'm with Knight with anyone else! And I know I'm probably never going to get over these feelings!" Tal responded hot-headedly, ears laid flat against her head and her bushy tail flicking angrily.
The martin glared at her with beady eyes. "Why are you in love with him? Why not someone else?!" he replied stubbornly, obviously not heeding Tal's explanation of her feelings.
Tal glared coldly at the martin. "Weren't you listening to me? You may think I don't know what I'm saying, but there are other reasons as well! Me and Knight have something in common!" she answered, angry tears forming in her gold eyes.
"And what would that be?" said Fenwick, standing on the tips of his toes.
Hot tears of anger streamed down Tal's face. "Because we aren't ordinary humans. We're barely even human at all! I was born with the ears and tail of a cat! He was born with the wings of an owl! We're different from regular humans!" she shouted, her throat hurting.
Knight sat back and listened to the heated argument. He hated the sound of fighting. It would be much better if people just didn't discuss anything until they calmed down. But things weren't like that, were they?
