• “Why can’t I go!” Aaron augured with his mother. They had been going at it for fifteen minutes and they where both getting no where.

“Honey, I’m sorry but you can not go.” his mom said for the tenth time. “There will be other parties that you can go to, but not this one.”

“Karlie gets to go, why not me?” he yelled, pointing to his older sister who was wearing a dark blue mini skirt, a white ripped tank to and her long brown hair was in a messy bun. Her wrists and arms where covered in bracelets and arm warmers, and her face was covered with light makeup. She also dong on cream color cat ears and a tail with a black tip.

“I’m older and more responsible then you are.” was Karlie’s excused. She said this with a smile, Aaron gave her a stink eye and flipped her off, “Flattering bro. Besides…aren’t you still grounded for that stink bomb you put in the neighbors mail boxes.” she sang.

“That’s right,” Aaron’s mother said, recalling answering the door to two police officers with Aaron in handcuffs at their front door and then having them explain to her about how he was blowing up mailboxes. “I’m sorry, but since you are still grounded you can’t go nor can you go anywhere else. Now upstairs with you and no T.V., no Ipod, no gameboy, no nothing. Now get.” she pointed upstairs and Aaron grumbled as he marched upstairs to his room, slamming his door behind him and flopping down onto his bed, his face in his pillow and breathing hard.

He had never gone anywhere, he was always grounded for something, blowing up mailboxes, skipping school, grades in fact last week he had a court date and was sentences to three months of community service at the city zoo for animal abuse-vandalizing the property. It was okay, but nothing that he would get into after his hours were served. He hated his life, and his family. His older sister was so perfect and they argued all the time, and she always wore those cat ears and tail like it was a part of her in some way. He didn’t know why she wore those, but he had also caught his mom also wearing a pair of cat ears and tail but black and he would see a black cat in his room on occasions when he was in his room doing nothing, it was after when the cat would leave was when his mom came into the room whenever he was doing something that Aaron shouldn’t be doing. It seemed like Mrs. Tix knew everything that her son was doing wrong.

Aaron rolled over onto his side and stared up at the ceiling, sighing and thinking of how fun the party that he heard about while listening in on Karlie’s phone call with her friend. Sadly, he wouldn’t be there to enjoy it. The party was to be set about five miles outside of the city, deep in the woods with no parental supervision what so ever. “It’s going to be a blast,” Karlie’s friend’s voice ran in his head and echoing all round his room. Aaron looked at the clock on his nightstand and grunted: 7:45 pm, it seemed that the minuets seemed like seconds as he stayed up in his room with nothing to do. He though a pillow at the clock and it fell to the floor and started passing the room. Just then the door bell rang and he went to his window, opening it and poking his head out and gazing down at the front door and saw Karlie’s boyfriend, Daniel waiting for the door to open. Aaron and him where good friends they had gone on some Aaron’s “adventures” together, but it was always Aaron who got into trouble. As he watch from his window, Aaron saw that Daniel had on dog gray dog ears and a marching tail to go with it. Aaron thought it was weird, but he shrugged and thought that it was some short of costume party that Karlie was going to. After Daniel rang the doorbell for the second time, Karlie answered and stepped out onto front porch. They shared a passionate kiss, Aaron saw this and stuck his tongue out. He was going to yell at them to get a room, but then he knew that he was going to get in trouble and be grounded be added on another week or so.

“Be back before midnight!” Aaron heard his mom yell at Karlie as her doughter and boyfriend walked to his car.

Aaron then watched as Daniel’s car speed off down the street, Karlie’s yells of excitement echoed though the empty streets. As he listen to his sister’s yells, he got a crazy idea and crawled out of his bedroom window like he had done so many times before. Once he was at the edge of the roof, he sat down and jumped, landing safely on the soft grass below and running to get his bike. He was going to that party weather his mother wanted him to go or not.

He peddled fast as he rode in the same direction that he saw Karlie and Daniel spend off in, a big smile plastered on his face. Unfortunately, he had lost his direction and stopped at a fast food restraint to grab a bite to eat before giving up and going back home. Luckily though, he saw Karlie and Daniel sitting inside the same restraint. They where talking and having a pre-meal dinner date before going to the party. This gave Aaron time to work on another plan of getting to the party he was going to crash. He waited for his sister and boyfriend to finished, then just as they where getting into the car, he slipped into the trunk of Daniel’s car without being seen.

“Perfect plan,” Aaron whispered, smiling to himself as he heard the car engine rear up and backing out of the parking lot and onto the highway that lead out of the city. “Change of mind,” Aaron grunted, “Not the best plan I had.” he was bouncing and rolling around all over the trunk, hitting his head on the roof and random things that Daniel kept in his car. He yelled out as the jack landed on his foot and covered his mouth so that Karlie won’t hear him. After what seem like forever of rolling around Daniel’s trunk, the car finally stopped and all was still. Once Aaron thought that his sister and Daniel where gone, he popped the trunk and got up, losing his balance and falling to the ground.

‘Smooth,’ Aaron though, shutting the trunk and looking around where he was now. He saw that Daniel had parked just on the out skirts of a forest. It was too dark to see anything though it, but he came too far now to go back so he jugged right into the forest and straight to the party, a smile on his face. He jogged about fifteen minutes before he could hear music pumping loudly though the trees, he stopped and tried to see where the music was coming from. Once he had found where the music was coming from, he turned slightly to the right and fallowed the booming music. Aaron got bored as he walked, only listening to the wrestling of the trees as the wind blew so once he knew the song that was playing he sang with it, singing off key and singing along.

Half an hour later of walking towards the music, he hear the sound of chatter and lights flickering though the gaps in the trees. “Finally,” Aaron sighed and jogged the rest of the way towards the lights. “Yes,” Aaron’s smile widen as he saw he came to a clearing and saw that the party that he was crashing was already in process. People of all shorts and sizes were dancing to rave mixes in a large group as others sat or stand on the side and talked to one another. On the far side of the party was a large tent where people were going in and out, among the numerous people that where there, there was also a vast number of animals too. So were sitting on peoples laps as other where sitting or laying beside them. Others even where talking to the animals as if they where Doctor Doolittle.
Aaron knew he had to get there, but how. He was up on a small cliff looking down on the party where everyone was having all the fun. He leaned down to see if there was any way to climb down, but there was no way. Just then, as he leaned the soft ground below him crumbled beneath him and he fell. Topping head over heels down the steep cliff and down into the crowd of the party, crashing into one of the refreshment tables and having all the people and animals stop what they were doing and looked down at Aaron as Aaron looked up at the people and animals who seemed to be not please that he had crashed the party.

Aaron smiled weakly at the group, and found that a lot of people must have been looking at him ’cause the music had stopped completely and no one was talking. “Hi everybody.” Aaron said, giving them another weak smile and waving. No one spoke to him, they just stared with nasty looks on their faces, a few animals near-by him were growling at him to leave. Aaron had no escaped plan and didn’t know what to d next, just then there was a familiar voice from the back of the crowed and saw someone was pushing their way though. Moments later, Karlie emerged from the mob of people with Denial, both of them had the same look as the mob-a mean scowl on her face and daggering eyes. Aaron laughed weakly and waved again, this time to his sister, “Hi sis.” Now Aaron knew that he was in deep s**t and would be grounded for the rest of his life. Aaron looked down and waited for what would happen next.
