• Chapter 1

small spacecraft glided silently towards a small planet. This planet, named Earth by it’s inhabitants. The planet houses one of the biggest interplanetary corporations known throughout the galaxy as Interplanetary Expedition(InterEx). The second biggest company is known as Electronic Arts(EA). The entire planet being run by InterEx, so almost every citizen works for them.
InterEx is sponsor of the Interplanetary Associations Project. Which is a project to help secure the human race in the Galaxian government. As this happens however a renowned terrorist known as ExDeth began to grow more bold. Moving from protest rallies to bombings of higher-ups of InterEx. ExDeth became widely known for the assassination of Ambassador Larea Mal’kek on the planet of Draz’gan. ExDeth has been trying to stop the newly formed interplanetary trade routes. Thinking it could remove humanities ‘unique’ qualities.
InterEx has been searching for the main headquarters of ExDeth, but failing at every chance. The citizens of Earth had no idea what was going on around them. InterEx raided homes of innocent men, destroying their homes searching for connections between them and ExDeth. Unbeknownst to the people of Earth that small spacecraft could be the beginning of all their problems…

“What hit us?! Corporal! Status Report! Now!” Commander Micah Aleron yelled as he looked at the screen in-front of him. Looking at the assorted camera feeds placed around the ship. He groaned and leaned against the railing looking over the crewman who worked in the bridge of the ship alone. The ship was a C-class Cargo ship. Small in comparison to the B-class and the A-class, “I’d like that report NOW Corporal Weatherleah!” He yelled. Slamming his fist down onto the railing.
Weatherleah typed furiously into her Holo-Key*, bringing up the current damage statistics in-front of her. She turned to the Commander and yelled, “There are three external hull breaches, two fires in Cargo Bay 3-A and 4-C. Engine numbers 5 & 6 are on the verge of failing. Commander We have to put our reserve fuel cell energy into the engines or we will not make it to earth!” With that said she turned back to the Holo-key and began to type, closing access hatches to the burning Cargo Bays, “Commander!! We have to hold out until the fighters from InterEx arrive to escort us the rest of the way to their docking facility! If not I suggest using the escape pods!”
Micah looked to Weatherleah and sighed, “We do not have enough time for this! Let’s move!” He placed a finger on a glowing yellow key and his voice was heard throughout the ship, “Everyone! To the Escape Pods! Move!” He turned around quickly and made a run for it, taking an Assault Rifle from the Armory on-board just-in-case anything else happened. He was one of the first scores of men and women off of the transport. He prayed that everyone on-board made it off safely. Knowing that that would not happen, he sighed and leaned back in his seat. The pod could accommodate up to 15 men or women. All of the seats were filled, he knew each one of the soldiers and engineers’ names off by heart. None of them spoke as they saw many other pods manage to escape the blast.

Weatherleah stayed behind on the ship, helping injured into the pods and looking for anyone left. An automated voice wailed:”Ship destruction in 120 seconds. All personnel evacuate to the nearest escape pod immediately.” The corporal ran through the gray corridors to one of the few remaining escape pods left. Knowing that there would be enough space for her inside of it. She saw the doors begin to slide shut and she broke into a sprint. The doors were almost closed when she dove for it. Her boot became caught in the door and it slid off when she rolled and hit the ground. Knowing it was safe she collapsed onto the floor. She slowly passed out, the gasses from the flames and their cargo making her light-headed.
