• Melinda hung up the phone and sighed as she stumbled into the study,grabbing a book from the dusty shelf.Soon pulling out a hardcover book painted solid black.In small,faint letters read:Magyk.The books name.It was Melinda's favorite book and would usually calm her down.She disregarded the small red mark.Brandon seemed to be stalking her,which she ignored."You know he might not have been a prank,what did they say?".Brandon asked sitting on a small chair watching as Melinda sat across from him."Look,don't bother me with this,the doors are locked what they said couldn'y be true".Melinda snapped slamming the book shut and laying it neatly on the large table that sat infront of her."What did they say?".Brandon asked again."Nothing of your concern".With that said Melinda walked out of the room.


    Melinda spent the whole day staring out the window waiting for her unforgiving parents to return.She gave up and went to check on her brother Max,he was sleeping peacefully on the vibrant green couch in the living room with a plate of shrimp on the coffee table.Melinda made a face and jumped as she heard a bang at the door.
