• I can remember the day when Kristen first walked in, a stunning grin on her mouth and eyes glinting at every single person sitting there. She had casually sat down next to Rani, raising her eyebrows at Mr Davis.
"Kristen, why don't you come up and introduce your self first?" There was a bit of annoyance in Mr Davis's tone, but Kristen kept her grin plastered on her face and swiftly walked up to the front of the classroom.
"Hi,' Kristen had said, her voice full of charm and sounding like a tinkling bell. "I'm Kristen, but you should already know that by now. I'm 15, my birthday's 14 February and I live in Central London..."
"14th February? Thats Valentines day," Kiera had whispered in my ear. "She must get a billion cards, half for Valentines and half for her birthday."
I nodded, smiling. "And c'mon. She lives in Central London. Isn't that a bit over-the-top? She must be a rich girl."
Rani glared at us, her mouth quivering. "Do you think she'll be nice? I'll have to sit next to her for the rest of the term."
"Sure," I said, laughing. "Don't worry. She seems fine to me."
Kristen had already finished her little speech and was settling beside Rani again. "Hiya," She whispered, laughing. She paused and frowned at Rani. "So aren't you going to introduce yourself?"
"Uh, yeah." Rani stammered. "I'm Rani. Nice to meet you." She shook Kristen's hand
"Enough of the blabber there! I'm trying to teach you a bit of English here."
Rani and Kristen giggled simoutaniesley. I sighed, fishing my English book out of my backpack.
"I think-" Kiera started by I held a finger to my lips. "I know what you're going to say."
"- she and Rani are friends." She whispered the last bit quietly to herself, but I still herd her anyway.
So many thoughts were flashing in my mind. Was she suddenly going to join our threesome which will eventually become a foursome? Are we going to break our little oath?
When we were little kids we made this oath that nobody would ever join our group, we were always going to stay with each other and even when somebody tried to split us apart, it would never happen, even in a billion years. Ok, so it seemed a bit stupid, but what could we do? It was always at the back of my mind, anyway.
I glanced at Kiera, who was staring at Mr Davis for a long time. She looked at me for a second and smiled and turned back to gaze at Mr Davis.
I frowned, wondering what was so interesting about him. I studied him to- he just looked like any other ordinary teacher to me. Maybe there was something diffrent about him in Kiera's mind. I thought about this. Maybe it was just hormones. Apperantley we were getting quite alot of stress and emotions in ourselves during this time of our lives.
Suddenly a bell rang through my ears. I stood up in a second, unaware that Kiera was still in her place, still staring at Mr Davis.
I gathered my things, and stopped just in time to see Kiera. "Kiera, c'mon. You're gonna be late for your maths class."
She suddenly sprang into action, her eyes finally off the plain, boring english teacher. "What?" She peered at me while I stared at her for a few moments.
"Um, nothing. I like your hair." I mumbled quietly to myself. Lie. Her hair was the same as it was everyday.
    "Whatever." She said, blushing.
I looked around, trying to catch Rani, but I could see her far in the distance, laughing and arm-in-arm with Kristen.
My next class was Science, which was good because Rani would be there. I could catch up with what was going on with my best friend and Kristen.
I flopped down next to Rani, scanning her face for any signs of gloominess. She didn't have any. In fact, she looked really, very happy.
"Do you like your new English partner then?" I whispered. I scanned the room to see if she was there. There were no signs of a strawberry-blonde haired, blue eyed pretty girl charming other people. I sighed in relif.
"Shes fantastic!! Shes sooo funny!" She smiled like she was right there in her ear, telling her some funny joke or whatever.
"Ah, OK. We were just wondering."
"What was up with Kiera?" She suddenly changed the subject. "She wouldn't peel her eyes away from Mr Davis!"
"I know." I nodded. "I think its a hormonal thing."
"Yeah, probably." She looked up to see Miss Tinn entering, this time her grey hair tied up in a massive bun. I sniggered.
"When is she ever gonna get a normal hairstyle?"
"When she dies, probably." She obviously meant that as a joke, but it was kind of rude.
"Love." The word had just flown out of my mouth.
    "Huh?" Was Rani's clever response.
    "Never mind." I said.

The next day Kristen had come into English with 2 plates of chocolate chip cookies. Everybody had screamed in delight. I just muttered a half-hearted 'yay'.
She had gave everybody 2 cookies, but I swear she snuck in another one for Rani afterwards. I glowered at her, but she didn't seem to take any notice. OK, So maybe she liked Rani the most, but its still a bit unfair.

The days past, and Kiera had suddenly took a massive liking to Kristen. They hang out as a threesome, and whenever I tried to get involved in them, Kristen had always made a perfect excuse for me not to be involved in them at all. I usally just hang about on my own, praying for somebody to feel so sorry for me and come and comfort me just a bit.
    It never happened.
But then, one day, Kristen had suddenly caught up with me and started talking to me. I listened carefully, because maybe if I did, I could at least have proper friends who can actually hang out with me.
I got invited to Kristen's sleepover. That was nice, because at least I could spend more time with them lot again.
There was one thing that really struck me. Kiera had already said sorry a million times, but I was still confused.
"Go on then, Kiers, tell her!" Kristen had giggled. I looked at everybody with puzzled faces.
"Fine. Whatever. Uhh... i'm in love with... umm... Mr Davis!"
I raised an eyebrow and my heart was beating fast. "No wonder you stare at him every single moment of English!"
"Duhh... Didn't you figure it out?" Kristen had sniggered. Rani and Kiera joined in.
I scowled at them, wanting to scream, Yes I did actually, I did way before you imbasielles knew!!
When Kristen had announced she was having an early night, and everybody agreed, and Kiera had squeezed my hand and said she was sorry for not telling me earlier, my head was spinning and spinning.
But why? Kiera and Rani were my best friends.
    Kristen was only a begginer.
    Whats happening? I thought.
    Why?
    Why?
