• His lips approached hers slowly, and her eyes, half lidded until this moment, closed slowly as a faint blush tinged her cheeks. The natural instincts of chemistry began to take hold and her head tilted just slightly as they moved closer together, time slowing to a mere trickle, running it seemed, slower than she'd ever want it to. Finally his lips were but a hairsbreadth from hers and her blush intensified as she could feel his warm breath against her. Her hand on his heart felt it speeding and then....

    CRASH!

    Namea woke with a start, sitting up with wide eyes and red cheeks, the memory of the dream lingering as small fingertips lightly touched her lips. A dream...it had been...a dream. Her palm met her forehead with a brutal smack, though it did not hurt and she cursed under her breath, then louder as she stood from her bed and looked out the window of her room above the Bloodlust Underground Vampire Bar. "It's still dark.." She murmured quietly, rubbing sleep from crimson eyes. "Why...was I having such a....juvenile dream...It's not like I haven't kissed Sevvy before..." Confused for a moment, she shook her head, only to find the image lingering. The tiny assassin knew this urge well, and she appeased it as she took up a sketchpad and pencil, beginning to draw the picture as it was imprinted on her mind.

    The room was hot, too hot for her in the pre-summer heat and though she wore only a long shirt, once Ivan's, and cotton shorts over her underclothing she felt stifled. Lifting the window she slipped outside and skillfully onto the roof, pad and pencil clutched in her teeth. The roof of the building was flat and she stood for a moment, admiring the view before sitting with her back to the ventilation spout and her knees drawn up, allowing the pencil to once more tell its story onto the paper. Faces emerged from the fluid lines she drew and though her art was far from perfect, it was good, recognizable as herself and Sevvy, kissing in a sweet moment, frozen by lead and paper. The whisper of air was her only warning and she leapt aside just in time to avoid something dark and furry which whizzed through the space that had been previously occupied by her head, her sketch pad flying from her hand to make room for a dagger.

    Ookami turned and looked approvingly on his best friend before walking over to her with his usual feline grace and standing on his hind legs to nuzzle the hand that held a dagger, his front paws on her knee. {It is only me.}

    "I should have smelled you...Sorry." The tiny woman chuckled, leaning down to pick him up, at which time he immediately took up his usual perch on her shoulder.

    {You were distracted?} He hazarded. {I noticed you wake up, then again, I'm sure half the bar did after Urufu knocked over your sword stand...Nothing was damaged, including the mutt.}

    A bit of crystal clean laughter slid into the night from her throat. "It's good that he wasn't hurt. And yeah, I was just drawing.." Turning she looked for the sketch pad and found it lying a few feet away, minus the picture she'd just drawn. "I suppose it blew away.."

    {There.} Ookami gestured with his paw and she turned to see it laying on the roof to her left, on the edge of the shadows. Walking to it she reached down to pick it up, but a larger hand beat her to it, pulling the picture into the shadows before a familiar chuckle sounded and Liekt materialized in his cat form, obviously his hand had not been the one to take the drawing since it was not black, but where Liekt was....

    "Wow..." Sevvy's voice toned from where he stood in the shadows like the ninja he was.

    Namea blushed and turned to look away. "I..."

    "...My face is doing it again... My eyes are ...Leaking."

    She turned, her eyes peering keenly into the darkness but widening as he suddenly was THERE in front of her, and she was staring up into his face, which was smiling tenderly down at her with moist eyes.

    His hand lightly rested on her cheek and suddenly he leaned down, his lips lingering on hers for a moment as he wrapped his other arm gently around her, holding her securely.

    Just as in the dream her cheeks stained themselves red and she closed her eyes happily, her hands resting on his chest.

    {Those two.} Ookami chuckled to Liekt.

    "I'm Hungry." was all the older shade would say, but somehow, the approval in his face showed the wisdom he held, despite the often comical comments he seemed to enjoy making to ruin the moment this made Ookami snicker as they watched their closest friends kiss in the moonlight.
