• Chapter Seven: The Mysterious, Memorable Place

The two elements surrounded the Inbreed, as I heard it shrieking for mercy, I held my hand out, and started motioning my hand, as the elements faded away, the Inbreed was gone.
I looked at Ky and Donte; their expressions didn’t surprise me, as they looked at me in awe. My vision was getting fuzzy, and my body felt heavy. When I took a step forward, my vision became black.
“Aisha, Aisha. Open your eyes,” a voice said.
I opened my eyes, and looked around. I was surrounded by darkness, where was I? I looked down and I was in my school uniform. Strange…Where am I? I thought, as I took a step, a light lit under my foot. The light was spreading like wildfire throughout the darkness, changing it into a field of flowers.
The field of flowers was beautiful, but it looks familiar. I walked through the field of flowers, something caught my eyes. It looked like a lily, but it was bluish-gray with red on the tips of each petal.
“Do you like that flower?” the voice said.
I turned around, and it was that girl again. Her long white hair was flowing in the breeze, as her crimson eyes looked straight into mine. “That flower is known as Fox Lily, isn’t it beautiful?” she smiled.
    “Who are you?” I asked.
“Didn’t you figure that out?” she said. “I’m you, your inner you.”
    “Huh?”
    “Let’s say I’m your subconscious.”
“Okay, so here is another question, where am I?” I asked.
“Don’t you remember? This is the place your mother took you when you were very young,” she said.
I remember. “Am I in Alii?”
She nodded. “Alii, the center of the magical world.”
“The center of the magical world, you mean I’m where the Seven Crystals of Hope were…” Inner me interrupted.
“Indeed, this is the place where the seven crystals were placed to keep the world in balance.” She said.
“But, the crystals disappeared years ago.” I said.
“Unfortunately yes, however, the crystals can be located with a powerful spell, using petals from a Midnight Lilac and a Moonlight Rose.” She said, holding a dark lilac and a huge white rose in her hands.
“Midnight Lilac, Moonlight Rose, but where do I find them? Midnight Lilacs and Moonlight Roses are rare flowers.” I said.
“They bloom once every millennium at the stroke of midnight during the Crystal Night.” She said.
“The Crystal Night is soon, but how would we know the spell would work?” I asked.
“The petals will guild those who the crystals chose to possess them.”
    “Do you mean the representatives?”
She nodded. “If the representatives obtain the Midnight Lilac and Moonlight Rose petals, they will find the crystals they were destined to find.” She said, disappearing once again.
“Wait!” I yelled. “Is that the reason why our masters chose us?”
“Ai, Ai, wake up, wake up Ai!” A familiar voice called my named.
I opened my eyes, gasping. I was in the Cave of Unity; Donte and Ky were by my side. “Thank goodness, you scared us.” Ky said.
I sat up. “Are you okay?” Donte asked.
“I’m fine,” I said, looking at my hands. I was back to my normal form, and then I saw something glowing in my chest. I touched my neck, a chain? I grabbed it, and it was my pendant.
“That’s the Sapphire of Trust, is that the reason why your fairy powers was so overwhelming?” Donte asked.
I nodded. “Come on, we have to meet everyone outside the cave.” I said.
They both nodded. “Espata Neo.” Donte said, within a blink of an eye, we were outside.
“Ai!” Cai ran up to me. “You’re okay.”
I nodded. “Everyone, there is something I must tell you. Something happened when the Sapphire of Trust was activated.” I said.
“Sapphire of Trust, you mean you have it?” Marina asked.
I nodded, showing her the pendant. “Its power was so overwhelming; I blacked out, and found myself in a dream-like state. I found a way to find the other Crystals of Hope.”
    “You did?” They all said.
“Petals from a Midnight Lilac and a Moonlight Rose, once combined they will lead everyone to the crystals.” I explained.
“A Midnight Lilac and a Moonlight Rose? Those are rare flowers, they bloom every millennium during the Crystal Night.” Marina said.
“Well, this is pathetic the Crystal Night is in another month, in addition where can we find them?” Cai said, turning away.
I thought for a moment. “Alii, I think the flowers are in Alii.”
“Alii, the center of the world,” Donte said. “How are we going to get there though? It’s in Harpy territory.”
“Speaking of which, the harpy representative didn’t show up.” Ky said.
While everyone was thinking, something didn’t feel right; I looked up and saw a shadow coming near us. “Something is coming.” I said, looking up and saw something in the night sky.
“Up there!” Ky said, looking. “Something is wrong, it’s flying very off.”
As the thing got closer, it stared screaming. “Look out!” it said, as everyone moved aside and the thing crashed into a bush.
I ran over to the bush. “Are you okay?” I asked, as the thing popped its head out of the bush.
“I’m okay,” it was a girl. As she crawled out of the bush. In the moonlight, her hair was glowing green, and her eyes were bright yellow. I saw feathers on her arms, she was a harpy. “I’m sorry, my flying needs a bit more practice,” she said. “My name is Fiff, I’m the harpy representative.”
“So you’re the harpy representative, your late!” Cai said, walking over to her.
“Well excuse me; my village was attacked by these creatures and I barely escaped!” Fiff said.
“Wait, your village was attacked?” I said.
“Yes, by these hideous creature,” she said.
“Inbreed.” I said. “What part of the harpy territory do you live?” I asked.
“My village is the head village, so we live in the center of the harpy territory.” Fiff said.
“It seems the Inbreeds are taking over,” Donte said. “They must have a leader; there is no way they can think about attacking just one territory.”
“Do you wonder why they chose the harpy territory instead of the other territories?” Marina asked.
I thought about something. “I wonder if they know about the crystals.” I muttered.
“Ai,” Ky said. “You think they know about the crystals and the flowers?”
I shrugged. “That’s my hypothesis, but I’m not sure.”
    “What flowers?” Fiff asked.
“We will inform you everything, but do you know exactly where the Midnight Lilac and Moonlight Rose grow in Alii?” I asked.
“The Midnight Lilac and Moonlight Rose? It grows in the center of Alii, but Alii is not exactly the place you want to go.” Fiff said.
