• "Finally, I'm home!" I yawned as I flopped onto my bed and slowly went to sleep. Hours passed. I was caught in a dream: something or someone was chasing me, yelling "STOP! I want to speak with you..." I woke up screaming and jumped out of my sheets to get some water and go for a walk. I grabbed my keys, went outside, and locked the door shut. I was feeling peckish so I decided to go to Krispy Kreme for a bite. No-one was at the counter, so, I checked the kitchen; not a living soul was there! "Uhhh...." was all I could manage to say. I bolted out of the shop and went downtown. I ran inside Macy's; no one. I checked Walmart; nada. I went to the NIGHTCLUBS and no bartenders, no dancing people, and no DJ. I jogged back home, heart pounding, lungs racing. I unlocked the door, ran to my bed and fell asleep quickly. I had the same dream from when I came home from work. I ran outside AGAIN to see if anyone (hopefully) was there. I went to Krispy K reme and saw two young men at the counter. Itimidly questioned, "I-Is anyone i-in the k-k-kitchen?" One man politely said, "Yes. Yes, there is, miss." I went to see for myself and he was right: bakers were kneading and flipping dough and the smell of fresh bread, cinnamon, chocolate icing floated to my nose. I walked back to my home and lay across my queen-sized bed and said to myself, "I'm home. Home sweet home....."
