• Chapter 1
A cool night wind rustles the soft navy blue blankets wrapped around me. My house is silent except for my screams. A sudden burst of light wakes me up when my parents burst into my room.
“Cassie Luna Rose, what’s wrong sweetie you probably woke up the whole neighborhood!” shouted both my parents.
“I’m fine mom I just had a bad dream and it’s time for me to get up anyway.” I said running a hand through my auburn hair. I was still shaking from that terrible dream but I shook it off. After getting a shower, I put on something that I barely wear, a short plaid skirt with a black and white fedora, a simple white shirt with a black vest and black boots. I finished off my hair with bright pink bow to and some color to the outfit. Since I have very pale skin, I have to put on loads of make-up to bring some color to my face, but today I decided to be very natural by putting on some black eye-shadow and black eyeliner.
After walking down the stairs, I grabbed a quick granola bar and kissed my mom and dad good bye and headed off to school without talking to them. I hopped in my black mustang with zebra seat covers and headed to my best friend Kitty Griffin’s house. We’ve known each other forever because we share on special thing, we’re both vampires. So once I got there I cut the engine and walked to her front door and rang the doorbell. Her mom Anglina answered the door.
“I’m sorry Cassie, Kitty is really sick today.”
“No I’m not mom gosh I don’t even look sick so let me go to school! I have a big test today that ive been studying forever for.” Kitty shouted from her room.
“Fine, but come straight home and no messing around!”
So on the ride to school Kitty asked me if I had a date to prom but of course I didn’t.
“It’s never too late to ask someone else instead you know.” She said.
“Yeah and that’s coming from the person who’s never had a date in her life.”
“Yeah yeah I know. It’s not my fault that the guys in our school are jerks.”
“True, now be quite I love this song.”
We turned up the radio singing to “Head Over Heels” by Boys Like Girls. We got to school and parked in our usual spot.
As we walked into the hall everyone started to stare at us because we had no make-up on and were incredibly pale. Right then and there we saw the little rich snobs coming.
    “Move.” commanded Rebekah.
    “Bite me.” I exclaimed back.
That really must have set her off because she tackled me to the ground I had to get her off of me but that was a mistake. The principle saw that I punched her and I got sent to the principal’s office. I sat down at the principal’s office and that’s when I saw him.
