• Walked away, heard them say,
"Poison hearts will never change, walk away again"
    Turned away in disgrace
Felt the chill upon my face cooling from within

*Smash* Koko shot up from the sound of a smashed window. "here we go again." She thought as she climbed out of her bed and looked out the window to see the kids from her village running away. Koko sighed and turned away from the window facing her broken mirror that leaned against the wall. She walked towards her broken reflection and sighed as she walked to her bed. Koko curled up in a ball on her bed and cried silently as she remembered why this happens to her.

    Flashback

"Koko...please end my misery now..." Akito her teammate and best friend pleaded while coughing up blood. "Akito! Don’t talk! And no! I won't end your life, you will make it!" Koko cried as she ran even faster with him on her back towards her village. She was almost at the village but was stopped when Akito kicked her leg making her fall to the floor. "Idiot!" She cried as she kneeled beside him. "Koko...please end it for me now," He started to say as he pulled out a kunai from his pocket. With the kunai in his hand he held her hand together with his, pressing the kunai between both of their hands. it started to rain harder and harder as seconds passed by. With all the strength left in Akito, with the hand holding the kunai and Koko's hand, he stabbed himself. Just when that happened, ninjas from her village arrived and saw the scene, mistaking it for Koko stabbing Akito

    End of Flashback

Koko snapped out of her flashback when she heard a knock on the door. She got scared which caused her to back up into the corner of her room on her bed. She curled up into a ball when she heard the door open then close. She heard footsteps coming towards her. Koko didn't bother looking up since she knew who it was. "Hey, are you alright?" the person said in a worried tone. She looked up at the person while more tears flowed down her cheek. The person sat down beside her, opening his arms and saying, "Come here." Koko dived into his open arms and cried uncontrollably into his chest. "Shhh... its ok, don't worry, I’m right here." he soothed her while patting her head. After he said that, she cried even more into his chest.

It's hard to notice gleaming from the sky
When you're staring at the cracks
It's hard to notice what is passing by with eyes lowered

As soon as Koko calmed down, she looked up at the person and gave him a weak smile. He stroked her hair while sadly saying, "I have to go do some stuff around the village so you be careful ok?" She looked him in the eyes with depression but nodded anyways. Parting from each other’s company was heard for them, but they knew they had to. He looked at Koko once more before going out the door. She sighed, as she longed for his embrace again. She did her morning routine and got dressed. She hesitated before stepping out her apartment door. She started walking out on the streets admiring the dirt ground because of the amount of glares she was getting. She sped up her pace walking to where her feet would take her.

You... walked away, heard them say
"Poisoned hearts will never change, walk away again"

All the cracks, they lead right to me
And all the cracks will crawl right through me
All the cracks, they lead right to me
And all the cracks will crawl right through me, and I feel apart

"Hey look it's her, the girl that killed the great Akito." A villager whispered to another one. She quickened her pace even more as tears brimmed her eyes. "It's that girl. How could anyone be so cruel? Akito was such a loving man that was loved by everyone." another villager said. After hearing that comment, she took off running. Koko ran through the streets and bumped into someone. "I-I'm Sorry... I-I d-didn't m-mean t-too..." She choked out with tears. She started to take off running without seeing who she bumped into but was stopped by that person pulling her into their arms. Koko's eyes widened when she impacted their chest. She looked up at the owner of the arms and it was him again. He looked down at her tear stained face while giving her a worried look. She was about to say something to him but was interrupted by the villagers around pulling him away from her while shouting, "Stay away from him you monster! Nobody wants you here! We don't need another dead person that is loved by the village! You heartless monster! Leave!" All the other villagers joined in while Koko's saver was trying to get away from the villagers grip.

As I... walked away, heard them say
    "Poisoned hearts will never change"
    Walked away again
    Turned away in disgrace
Felt the chill upon my face cooling from within

Koko started to back up away from the angry villagers. Tears started to roll down her eyes. She searched for words to say but nothing would fit this situation. The only thing that pooped up in her mind was to run, run far away from this village and never come back. And that's what she did. Koko took off running until she found a cliff. She walked towards the cliff, standing on the edge of it looking out the scenery before her. The sky was a beautiful hue of orange which was caused by the setting of the sun. Koko spotted two birds fly by, chasing each other. She closed her eyes and whispered, "I'm sorry..." Tears rolled down her face as she leaned over the edge of the cliff. She started to fall but was stopped by a pair of arms pulling her back up. She landed on top of the owner of the arms. With her eyes still closed, she sighed and stated, "It's the third time already... why didn't you let me fall..." She got off of him and pulled him up. She scanned his depressed face for answers but couldn't find any. "Why Koko...why...?" he asked her. She slowly placed her right hand on his cheek and answered, "I don't belong here... they don't want me here... i can't live like this anymore..." Koko quickly looked the other direction to prevent any tears from streaming down her face. Unfortunately her plan backfired as rivers of tears flowed down her cheek as the silence between them grew. He lifted her chin so she was facing him and pulled her to him. Their foreheads touched and he softly said, "Koko... I love you... please don't go... we can run off to another village and live a new life there..." Her eyes widened as she heard what she's wanted to hear for a long time. He closed the gap between them while Koko wrapped her arms around his neck while saying, "I love you too... but..." Koko got cut off by a pair of warm soft lips on hers. A tear rolled down her cheek before she kissed him back. It was a sweet innocent kiss that was shared but Koko had to break it apart. She looked him in the eyes and finished off her sentence, "But...I must go..." Before he could retort her comment he felt a shock of pain on the back of his neck as he fell unconscious. Koko laid him gently on the floor and prepared to jump off the cliff. "Good bye..." were her last words she said...

    Half Hour Later

"Koko!" He shouted as he shot up from the floor. He looked around to see her gone. He went over to the cliff where she last stood and let his tears roll down his cheeks. He stood up and looked at the night sky with flashing stars. He then looked down the cliff and an idea popped up in his head. It was the only thing he could do now that he lost his love. What else could he possibly do if he her? "I'll see you up there soon Koko..." He stated out loud as he smiled up at the sky. With that, he ended his life as well, meeting her at the bottom of the cliff.
