• Shelok turned suddenly as the iron doors to her throne room opened and a voice bellowed, “SHELOK!! LET KIDA GO!!” Fenrir walked in but stopped short at the sight before him. Shelok held Kida by the throat and the point of a sword pressed to her chest. “Take one more step and she dies,” Shelok sneered as he stood there, “Now be a good little dog and surrender the Fata Morgana!” Fenrir slowly raised his hand and gripped the necklace around his throat, it was a diamond, about the size of a small chestnut, and light swirled around in it like smoke. He slid his hands behind his head and undid the silver chain that held it. He held up the hand that held it and said, “If you want it, take it.” He threw the Fata Morgana to Shelok and as she caught it with her free hand he drew the dagger on his belt and threw at her. She easily batted it aside and it lodged quivering in the marble floor. Fenrir uttered a low growl as his plan fell apart, but it was cut short as Shelok thrust the sword into Kida’s chest. He then charged her hoping to kill her with his bare hands, in a single motion Shelok pulled the sword from Kida’s chest and stabbed Fenrir through the heart. Blood spurted from Fenrir’s mouth as the sword pierced his chest, and his life faded from him he looked down at the sword in Shelok’s hand, it was Ryvius’. Shelok let go of the sword and began to walk away, but turned quickly and kicked the pommel of the sword. Fenrir was flung across the throne room and was impaled on the iron doors, Shelok walked away with satisfaction and went to wash the blood off her dress.
