• Day at the Ward: History of Pulse
    (As told by Dr. Lorenzo River)

    “There he is! He’s in the barn,” yells a police officer. He is chasing a young man, about 21 years of age. They are chasing him because he is different. They call him a monster but he has done nothing wrong. He has lost his friends, his family, his life, and it took only 3 months to spiral out of control.

    Three months earlier, Pulse and two friends Keith and Andy, where walk the streets of small city. They were happy, they were at the moment normal. They knew they were not normal, but they felt like it. It’s summer so college is out. They are both job searching and apartment searching. They passed an electronics store with televisions in the window. Pulse’s ability allows him to control, manipulate, and hack into any electronic device with a computer chip in it using only his mind. Knowing this Keith tried to persuade Pulse to play with the signal a bit just for fun. Pulse refused, but Keith was bored. Keith’s ability is to emit electricity from his body. he decides to short the power just for fun despite Pulse and Andy’s plea not to. He went into the store to find a private place to do is thing. Little did they know next door a team known as The Enforcers where preparing to attack another person with the same ability with a device that shorts the person when they attempt to use their power. Keith went and used his powers and the device, though in another building, was able to short him and knock him unconscious. Andy and Pulse were in shock and when The Enforcers entered the store they knew they were coming for Keith. Pulse used his ability to disable all the devices in the store and the equipment used by The Enforcers. Andy, who can turn into animals and some mythical creatures, he used that ability to try to keep the enforcers away from Keith. Pulse fought as well using his abilities moving through wi-fi signals to teleport. They backed Andy into the corner where Keith laid, Pules was at the entrance. They cut the Wi-Fi connection disabling Pulse from teleporting. The captured Andy, they had Keith, all Pulse could do was run. So he did. until he found a Wi-Fi signal and teleport away.

    Now he is surrounded. They chased him into a small country area. He is in the middle of a field surrounded. No Wi-Fi access, no electronics, no way out. He can no longer run. Now he must kill, or be killed.
