• In a farmhouse about ten miles outside the small city of Malta, Montana, there is a group of seven girls in one of their parent’s houses having a slumber party, the time is about 10:30. They get bored so the girl that lives in the house gets a ouija board out of the closet, her parents don’t know what they are doing because they are downstairs and have fallen asleep in front of the television in their overstuffed armchairs. They play with the game attempting to communicate with dead spirits or whatever else they can and a spirit contacts them and tells them the following: “I am Belzebub, everything you think isn’t right, everything you know is wrong, and all of life is a lie that we all realize the truth of when death takes us. This night, I shall take away everything you love to show you a small piece of the truth because the lie is that everything is pleasant while the truth is that everything is horrible but you can’t accept the truth so you all create your own false realities.”

The message that the girls received from the ouija board scares them at first but as they go to bed half an hour later they aren’t thinking much of it. The girls and the two parents are woken up various times during the night by the farm animals screaming, they don’t really believe anything bad is occurring to the animals but that they are just doing something strange so they roll over and go back to sleep. The next day half the girls are awake and the father runs into the house yelling loudly and frantically. Everyone runs outside to see what is happening and see half the farm animals dead. Half of the dead animals have been burned alive and they aren’t sure what has killed the other half that are dead. The other half of the animals that are not seen still on the farm are nowhere to be found so they don’t know if they are dead or what happened to them.

That day a couple fires break out in the county just a couple miles away from each other in the nearby forests, and more fires that night and the following day. The locals would believe that there is an arsonist to blame, but at every site that there was a fire some of the animals were found from the farm. Then, that night, at about 2 a.m. in the morning, fires break out in the city of Malta, almost every building on Main Street gets set on fire and about two dozen people are killed as a result of the fires. There are three witnesses each on different sides of town that say they saw something strange, just before they saw a building catch fire, they saw something going down the street about forty miles an hour and the bottom of it was on fire. They couldn’t tell what it was because it was moving so fast, all the smoke, and it was so dark. They also couldn’t tell what the size of it was but that it was definitely bigger than a full grown pig.

The next day not just the local police are looking for whatever or whoever are causing the fires, but the state police also join in and they are all now fully alert and vigilant for anything after all the deaths in Malta. Another fire occurs that day in the forest again and more dead farm animals are found there. Now almost all of the farm animals that are missing from that farm have been found and accounted for except for one…

Then, that night, another fire breaks out. Because it’s nighttime so they can see where the fire is sooner and because everyone is so aware and expectant of another fire the police and firefighters get there faster than they have before. As soon as they get to the scene they see what it is that is causing the fires. It’s a horse, bigger than the biggest horse they’ve ever seen, it’s eyes and hooves are on fire. Belzebub (or whatever the demon’s real name is) possessed the horse when the girls accidentally summoned it with the ouija board, killed all the farm animals, and then started setting all the fires. The police and locals shoot it with their firearms until it finally dies.
