• Chapter one
My clothes clung to me like a a baby monkey does to its mother when they are swinging from tree to tree. I was trapped in the waterfall of rain, the illuminating sight of lightning, and the rolling bass of thunder. my face stung with hail pellets, my feet were throbbing from my mile long journey to the basketball court. My mind weaved in and out of thoughts;"such as Florida would be so much better than Seattle." I cupped my hand over my i pod screen as if it would protect it from the rain that was attacking me. I plugged in my ear bud to ease my mind off of the swelling emotions that were raging through my mind. Everything seemed so dark and dreery especially since the thunderstorm had started. I stumbled upon my front porch and tried to put my key in the hole. "Damn." Jequan must have changed the locks again. I think this might be the fifth time he has tried to keep me out of my own house. I mean come on it's my house your only my sister's fiance, your aren't even married to her yet. I sat down on the front porch and curled up,pulled my hood over my wet hair(as if that would help) and listen to the beat of Alicia Keys... love me like you'll never see me again every time you hold me......
