• Part: 3
A few months passed without anything wrong. It was fine until I found my locket that Mario gave me.
    ************************
I was tidying up our room when, under all of my crap, I found it. That necklace just made me burst into tears all over again. Conveniently enough, Iggy was asleep above me. He woke up and looked (he can see now) down at me.
“What’s wrong Lily?” He asked as he jumped down from the bunk.
“Oh it’s nothing,” I managed to get out while quietly screeching.
“You’re not okay. I know you and I know no person or dog whimpers like that unless they’re sad. Now what’s bothering you?”
“Fine. I’ll tell you. *sigh* The day you came here, I broke up with Mario. He gave me this necklace,” I said remorsefully.
“Aw man. Why didn’t you tell us that when we came. I could’ve helped you out with this,” Iggy replied. He stood there near me for a minute and then said, “Well, better late than never. You can’t heal without a hug.” He sat down next to me and hugged me. “Don’t cry. I can tell you’ve cried too much over him. He’s not worth it. I can’t believe someone would do this to a sweet girl like you… I mean you’ve helped everyone I know. If you ask me, you’re too good for him.”
“Thank you. You’re one of the best friends I’ve ever had,” I replied wiping my eyes. We sat there for a couple of minutes, just sitting.
I looked into his eyes and he looked into mine and said, “What?”
“Well, I was thinking… Why are you so nice all of the time?” I asked.
“It’s because I care. I’m only nice to those who I care about deeply. I care about all of you so much.” I read his thoughts… It’s also because I’m in love with you. I want to scream it aloud but it’s too early. Oh, gosh I hope you feel the same way. Oh, do you feel the same way? “Yes,” I said without thinking. He looked at me strange and I said, “Um… I was daydreaming sorry.” All night we sat there just talking.

Two weeks passed and we were inseparable. I started feeling more and more love towards him. I felt as if fate had brought me and Iggy together. I knew he felt the same way.
One day I decided to go out on a limb and ask him out. He was so excited and he said he had the perfect place.

I got all dressed and ready for that night. I was actually wearing a dress for the first time since the dance where Mario and I got together. I put on eye shadow, blush, lipstick, and eyeliner. I even wore high heels.
We flew to a movie theater. I realized then where we were. We were at the place where we met. The old megaplex was as cool as ever.
“Two tickets to your special showing please,” Iggy said to the ticket master. “Thank you.”
We got our snacks. Somehow he knew my favorite candy. We walked down the halls and amazingly we went to the same theater as when we met. I didn’t realize what he was doing until later. We walked in the theater and it was empty.
“Iggy? What’s going on?” I finally asked.
“You’ll see,” was all he said.
I finally realized what he did when the movie began. The announcement said, “And now, a special presentation of ‘Live Free Or Die Hard’. Made special by Mr. Iggy Ride.” I then realized what he did. He bought the movie for the one night to relive what happened a year ago.
“Oh my gosh! Iggy! You didn’t have to do this!” I said.
“Yeah I did. I wanted our date to be special. The thing is, I’ve liked you since I met you in this theater. You’re sweet, funny, and you help people even if you don’t know them. I love how you are always so optimistic even if something bad happened, just to make sure everyone isn’t down. In my eyes, you’re perfect.”
We sat holding each other through the whole movie. It was so amazing. I had never felt so needed before. It was a great feeling. I needed this to get over Mario. I also think that was where I was first falling in love with him. He’s the perfect guy.
We went home after the movie and talked all night.
