• The night was silent, nothing could be heard except the quiet footsteps Sydney made as she walked through the park. The silence used to frighten her at night until her heart pounded loud enough for even a deaf person to hear. Now, though, it ment safety.. Now it was the noise that scared Sydney.

Sydney ran, she heard the moans and smelled the rotting flesh of the zombies, the living dead. Les mortes-vivants. Sydney knew she could outrun the zombies but she could never outrun the screams.

The clicking noises of the bones and the groans of pain as the shambling horrors limped and crawled after Sydney grew closer. It wasn't because they were faster, it was worse. Sydney was blocked off by a brick wall at least nine feet tall. As hard as Sydney tried she couldnt climb up that wall so she did the next best thing and ran along it, praying for an opening in the wall.

What poor Sydney didn't know was that the zombies were heading her way in all directions, forming a wall of rancid walking death and very soon she would be completly trapped. Sydney was now aware of her situation and thought of the pitiful chance of survival she had. With the last of her strength she tried jumping, reaching for a foothold, a place to put her hands in on the wall but to no avail. She shredded her nails and her fingertips bled as she tried to climb up that damn brick wall again.

The zombies grabbed Sydney and ripped at her body and clothes as they dragged her into their midsts. The mob of decaying flesh had Sydney pinned down as they wall reached in, shoving and pushing, their repulsive hot breath suffocating Sydney. She screamed as the zombies bit and mawed at her flesh, craving te sweet life they had lost and wanted back, her blood was pooling around her body and was being lapped up by the undead to whom it tasted like necter.

Sydney stopped fighting and trying to push them away as her sluggishly beating heart ceased alltogether. Minutes later Sydney's body woke up with a craving for human flesh and joined her new brothers and sisters for her first hunt. Her own blood, now cold, was dripping from her cooling fingertips.
