Chapter 7
The battle began quite suddenly. Commander Toshiro was working from his table, filing Amy's account on the Golem affair, standard procedure. Then, his soldier sense kicked in. He tackled Misa, his wife, just as the Fireball destroyed the area they would have been at. He put his gloves on and told Misa to hide. He ran outside and saw a group of bandits, with a rather large one in the front, hand smoking. Toshiro launched a green light over the village to signal the other Black Ops. members and began battle. Amy was the first to respond. She was by Toshiro's side within a minute. She was apparently on guard, waiting. "Should we wait for the others?" Toshiro shook his head to answer her and launched a Light beam and blinded them. Amy followed up with a Tornado. The bandits were either blinded or unconscious or even both. Then Amy sensed her. She barely had enough time to roll out of the way when the black Wolf leapt. Her green eyes were fixed on Amy. "Kay?!?" She leapt. Toshiro barely saved her by sacrificing himself. He jumped between the two of them and the tremendous wolf’s jaws crushed his ribcage. She threw him aside. Amy screamed and tears rolled down her face; then she screamed a brutal war cry and charged, Naginata on the floor. She kicked the Wolf's face and was going to drop kick it when Raka swooped in and knocked Amy several meters away. Raka looked at Toshiro's corpse and then looked at the Wolf. "Good job. That was the Black Ops. Commander." The Wolf smiled. Amy ruined their moment by smashing Raka's face. The Wolf, caught by surprise, received an equally devastating blow and was sent flying by a cliff. Amy then tackled her over the edge. When they landed at the bottom, Amy, crouched into a defensive position, asked, 'WHY?!? Why did you k-kill the Commander!?!" The Wolf merely smiled and leapt. Amy stood her ground; the Wolf's full weight crushed Amy into the ground. However, Amy shot it into the air. She commanded a Hurricane while the wolf was in the air. Amy thought it was over. The Wolf then surprised her and caught her in its powerful jaws. Then another Wolf tackled the first one. Amy thought she had experienced head trauma; there were doubles. Two black wolves with green eyes? Impossible. Then one of them shifted into a young, beautiful woman. Her hair was jet with dark blue eyes and ivory skin. Amy could see a scar running down the woman's stomach region. No wonder Ruku fell in love with Kayame, Amy thought, she's gorgeous and I'm so blah... Wait! Why am I thinking about this?!? She killed the Commander!!! Amy launched an air missile, which caught Kayame off guard, sending her reeling. When Kay recovered, she looked up. Amy was uttering her war cry and was about to fly straight into the ground where Kayame knelt with the Naginata in an execution position. Kayame performed a back flip just as Amy connected with ground. "What are you doing, Amy!?!" Amy looked up with a crazed look. Then suddenly, she slashed out faster than a bullet and yelled, “Avenging the Commander!" Kayame received a deep slash on her face. Her eyes turned emerald and smashed Amy's face with her elbow. " What are you talking about," Kayame said. Then the other Wolf phased and revealed a nearly identical copy of Kayame. Amy then suddenly remembered; Kay had a sister, Konata.
Ruku and Zorion rushed to the forest. “Do you think Kayame made it already,” Ruku asked. “More than likely,” responded Zorion. After Amy left Ruku and Zorion on the outskirts of the Village of the Blue Mist a week before, Ruku left a Third-Eye Orb there. The Third-Eye Orb was a ball of energy that was “connected” to Ruku’s mind. This way, whenever he felt like it, he could close his two eyes and look through his mind’s eye. He had also set the eye up to respond to any magical disturbances. The Bandit Leader’s Fireball had cause the Third-Eye to immediately link up with Ruku. He had been eating breakfast when his eyes closed involuntarily. He saw Toshiro and Amy fighting. When he saw the Wolf, he impulsively had the same reaction Amy did. However, he knew it was Konata because Kayame was sitting across from him at the table. He broke off the link and explained the situation to the others. Upon hearing of Konata’s involvement, Kayame ran out the door and phased in mid-leap. Ruku and Zorion followed. When they got to the Village, the bandits were reawakened, thanks to Raka, and fighting the rest of Black Ops. Forces. Zorion nodded to Ruku and jumped into the fray to help the Village. Ruku launched the Fire Lotus towards Raka, who noticed neither of them. He mentally mocked her with the attack. Every fireball hit their target and Raka, screaming like a Banshee, was thrown off the cliff. She hit rock bottom and broke every bone in her body after falling for 21.5 meters. Ruku looked over the edge in triumph at his dead sister. So much for her being the superior twin. Then his grin changed to horror. The illusion wore off on “Raka.” The Cloaking spell hid the Bandit Leader under the guise of Raka. He turned at the sound of his sister’s mocking laugh. She tackled Ruku while she was flying. She tried to deposit Ruku by an identical death to the Bandit Leader’s, but Ruku fought on by holding on to Raka. She performed every aerial tactic she could think of, but Ruku would not let go. Finally, she performed the Dragon’s Breath and Ruku instinctlvly threw his arms out in front of him. Instead of the Bandit Leader’s 21.5 meters, Ruku fell 29.34 meters. He tried to awaken Shadow. Shadow was his true name, his vampire name. After it was discovered that he was not a full vampire, he was given a human name, Ruku. Raka’s true vampire name was Shade; however, she rejected the name and detested it. She adopted her brother’s name and made it feminine. In Vampire culture, the name Shadow is greater than Shade. Alucard proudly thought that the boy would become the superior twin and thus named him Shadow. Raka had always resented this because of the fact that she was the "superior" twin. Shadow woke up. Ruku's body was covered in a red aura and his canines protruded once more. He stopped in mid-drop, and turned and smiled at his attacker. Raka's stomach dropped; Shadow was alive and well. Shadow summoned energy from thoughout his body and sent it to one location, his hand. He roared and fired a gigantic Firestream at Raka. Raka barrel rolled out of the way, but Shadow was already there. He punched her in the face and sent her flying in the air. After she stopped spinning, he kicked her from behind and sent her plummeting straight to the earth. By the time she was about to crash, Shadow was waiting. He thrust out his left hand and caught Raka in her stomach before she could make contact with the ground. She screamed in pure agony and he tossed her away. He continued the chase; Amy ran to Ruku to help, but Kayame stopped her by throwing her arm out and shook her head. At this point, a giant explosion overhead sent Zorion and the Bandit's second-in-command flying. They were fighting in mid-air. Zorion threw a punch and the Bandit blocked it. Zorion had been disarmed during the earlier battle and was going hand-to-hand with the bandit's new leader. A bandit had accidently lit one of his many grenades, and ran to his new leader. He exploded along with half the forest, where Zorion and the bandit were fighting before they hit the ground. Zorion head butted the bandit and the bandit responded with an uppercut. They simultanously grabbed each other's arm and spun each other with the intention of slamming the other into the ground. They spun so fast, they made a blur. Zorion was the victor. 6.287 meters away from the ground, Zorion was able to steady himself and tossed the bandit into the ground. When Zorion landed, the banidt, stubborn as he was, got back up and charged at him. He jumped and performed a spinning kick at Zorion. Zorion put his two forearms together and blocked it; he spun the bandit away from him. Amy, looked on, helpless. Then Konata lept. Kayame defended Amy by blocking Konata's attack with her twin katanas. When Konata attacked again, her face recived Amy's boot. Then she launched a Tornado towards Konata. "This is for the Commander!!!" she yelled and charged, left hand cloaked in Wind. The punch fully impacted Konata's stomach and sent her flying. Kayame was waiting in the wings. She elbowed Konata's back. Konata fell face down; however, she unleashed her wrath. She surrounded herself with Earth Spikes with barely enough time for Amy and Kayame to evade. Raka smirked as she saw her partner and unleashed the Dragon's Rage on the dazed Shadow. He was enveloped in the Fire and screamed in excuriciating pain. Then, he started to laugh and the Fire surrounded him. He reveresed it ten fold and unleashed on Raka. Raka was trapped. Zorion smiled at this sight, but was crushed against a rock by the bandit's sudden Tsunami. He screamed and tried to escape, but to no avail. The bandit merely laughed, but was cut off and replaced with a short scream. Zorion looked up and saw a Naginata piercing his chest. He fell over, dead, and the Naginata flew back to Amy's hand. She motioned for Zorion to hurry up and follow. He did. Raka escaped and was running from Shadow; he pursued relentlessly. Kayame and Konata were fighting hand to hand. Kayame performed a rapid 1-2-3 punch to Konata's face and Konata countered with a swift knee to Kayame's chest. Konata turned and ran into the forest; Kayame took chase. Konata and Raka met up and went back to back and faced the other's sibling. Kayame and Raka went toe-to-toe as did Shadow and Konata. Raka did a Fire Cartwheel; Konata launched an Earth Spike barrage. Both Shadow and Kayame dodged and stood next to each other. Konata and Raka charged towards them. Shadow nodded to Kayame and they ran towards their sisters. As they were about to collide, Shadow and Kayame grabbed each other's hand and spread as far apart as possible, creating what is commonly known as a clothesline. Konata and Raka tried to stop, but alas they were beyond stopping. Their necks hit Shadow and Kayame's arms and were thrown back. Shadow jumped on Raka and ground-and-pounded her. Konata fell and Kayame grabbed her legs and spun her into the ground. Raka did the Dragon's Breath and Shadow retreated, but Raka was on him already. Zorion interfered and threw Raka. He gave Shadow a hand up and fought Raka. Konata created an Earth Dome, which threw Kayame; Amy destroyed it with a Tornado and rushed Konata. Raka was bounced back and forth by Zorion and Shadow; Amy and Kayame were having a field day beating on Konata. Raka laughed as a new figure appeared. Shadow was trembling. "A-Alucard," he moaned. Alucard, a 2.5 meter giant, smiled and Raka threw her arms around him and said, "Daddy!" Zorion felt an emotion he hadn't felt in years; fear. Alucard suddenly appeared behind Shadow. Shadow turned and was felled to the ground. Alucard had barely moved a finger; now without the use of his fingers, he levitated all four of the warriors into a bubble while Konata and Raka stood by his side, smiling. "My son, you are finally embracing your inner Vampire," Alucard said, "it is a shame that it is right before you die!" Alucard unleshed Hellfire on to the bubble. It consumed it. Then Shadow jumped out and lunged at his father. They engaged in mortal comabt. Shadow's friends were safe. He threw a fake right hook and Alucard made the mistake of underestamating his son. He saw stars as Shadow threw a left to Alucard's face. '"Dad!" Raka cried and accidently distracted her father. Shadow took the opportunity and did a backflip kick that sent Alucard into the air. Shadow crouched and right as Alucard hit the ground, Shadow launched a Fire Stream. Alucard was consumed by it. Shadow believed himself to be the victor; Alucard then emerged and wrapped his right hand around Shadow's throat and throttled him. His eyes rolled to the back of his head as he tried to escape. His body grew limp and Alucard threw him aside. The deadly trio left. The others rushed to Ruku's side; Shadow remained dormant. He was breathing.
