• I started up my computer. Just then I heard the sliding glass door open up behind me. I tried to scream but a warm hand curled over my mouth.
"Quiet unless you want your dad to hear us, Paige," Zane whispered into my ear.
"That was kinda what I was going for. You scared the hell out of me! Don't ever do that again," I growled.
"I have to show you something. Come outside with me."
"I'm not jumping off my balcony-" but Zane had picked me up bridal style and leaped off the balcony before I could say anything.
"You asked me why me, Harry and the twins were being all weird," Zane said, pulling off his shirt. "The Hunters are on the loose and I need you to know I can protect you."
"Th-the what? Zane whats going on?" I whispered.
"Promise you'll still love me after I show you?"
"Ya, but-" I was stopped by his soft lips pressed against mine.
He leaned foward. and his whole body seamed to heave with suppressed strength. His skin became stretched taught over his thick muscles. His whole body rippled. Then his face enlongated and grey hair erupted from all over his body. He grew to the size of a Clydesdale horse.
"Oh my..." I had no words for this. My boyfriend had just turned into a wolf! And a huge one at that.
Can you go in that bush over there and bring me my clothes? Zane's voice thundered, not out loud, but in my head. I didn't know if I was hallucinating but I decided to obey.
Sure enough there was a pair of jeans and a t-shirt in the bush. I brought them out. The voice instructed me to put drop them and climb onto Zane's back.
This is my favorite part of my tale. Zane's body shuddered and shrank to a size just a bit larger than a pony. He jumped onto my balcony and I got off and went to lay down. This was too much.
I felt a warm hand on the side of my face. I opened my eyes and saw Zane's green ones staring down at me.
"Are you OK?" he asked sheepishly.
"Ya, I'm fine," I muttered even though I knew I wasn't. Apparently he did, too.
    "No you aren't."
"You just turned into a giant wolf. But I'm fine because your fine," I said. He still looked concerned but was quiet. I fell asleep with my head on his shoulder.
I dreamed of werewolves and Zane protecting me from them like he said he would. When I woke up it was sunny and I was under the covers. A white rose lay on my side table.
