• So there she lay. A pool of blood surrounds her lifeless body. She has always been a fabulous girl. Straight A's and a College Degree to go with them. I keep feeling like i could have stopped that shot. That one bullet that took her life. Her brown hair was blowing in the cold breeze as she lay in the highschool football field. Lifeless, Cold, and Red. Cassie

    Cassie Chapter One

I saw Cassie walking through the dirty and worn halls of our unkempt school. She looked beautiful as always. Oh, she was so sweet to me. But I knew I could never compare to her charm. I've had a love for Cassie ever since I first laid eyes on her. In seventh grade, I smelled her perfume as we crossed paths. It smelled almost as sweet as her herself. I've been trying to tell her I loved her ever since, but something always stopped me. Cowardliness. But today, was the day I told her. And it was about time. I walked towards Cassie as boldly as i could! I strode towards her! And I could never have looked so stupid in my life.

I looked to see her kissing another man at her locker. He was deffininetly much more masculan than i was. I almost started to think she was being hurt by his strength because she started to squirm. But i realized it was only because she hadn't wanted to kiss, and pulled away. At least i knew now that they weren't complete lovers, at least not yet. She saw me looking at her and asked me what i wanted.

"Uuhh.." I stuttered, "I-I, wanted to uuhh.. tell you that... I" I was trying to think of the words to say when the school bell interupted my thought. Thank God!

She told me, "I'll catch you later! I need to head to science! Today, we disect frogs!" She almost ran as she headed toward Mr. Howard's classroom. I knew she was beautiful, but as she ran away, her beauty seemed to shine just a little bit more. I heard her sneakers squeek along the unwaxed floors, and I thought to myself, Dear Lord. Please let me have her!
