• The rain pattered on the box in an alley in New York City. Poorboy sat inside curled up under a mud caked blanket. Poorboy got his name from the passer-by. His only pocessions were the crusty blanket and his cup he stole from wal- mart to collect rainwater. Of course he had his box, which he had dragged in the dead of night to that alley next to the dumpster. He had been scrounging around for food for 16 years.

After 16 miserable years in that box, a kind elderly woman scooped him up and took her to her house. He had lived there for a year when the woman, who's name was Maria, got a call from a foster child agency. A woman from that agency came to talk to Poorboy the next day. Maria had given him the name, Jonah, and when the agency- woman asked him if he remembered his original name he paused. And answered, "Liam Frachelle". Maria looked startled. She exclaimed that "about 18 or so years ago, her son's family had lost their son, who's name also began with an L." she said her son's name was James, and her grandson ran away from home after he announced to him that his older brother had been run- over by a truck.

After a short pause, Maria announced "Liam, you are my long- lost grandson. You were the one who ran away, you are my son's child. My only grandchild. Liam, my last name is Frachelle too, and you are my grandson."

The agency woman stood to leave. "My work here is done, I guess. Since you two are sure you are related, and Liam here is over the age of 18, he can choose to live here legally if he wishes. Thank you for inviting me in." she left the house and helping his grandmother up off the chair, Liam Jonah Poorboy Frachelle followed her up the stairs to their rooms.

After thinking about what had just happened, Liam finally went to bed too, at midnight. The next morning, at 8 a.m, he went to wake up Maria. She was laying wierd in her bed. Her head and both arms were hanging off the edge. Liam slowly pulled her into a sitting position, and realized she was dead.

Liam called the agency lady and she came over with people from the funeral home.

Liam was crushed. Maria had saved his life. He just found out that she was his long lost grandmother. His only family left. Gone.

After the funeral, Liam attended the reading of the Will. The pastor read- "If my grandson, Liam is found, which I have never given up hope of, he is to recieve my entire fortune. Everything. All 128,679 thousand of it." the other people in the room tured to look at Liam. They were friends of Maria from bingo and the animal clinic, where she worked. The pastor read on. "Liam, if you are listening to this, my money is in my underwear drawer. My friends and any other family are to get everything else." the pastor spoke again. "That is all."

Liam decided to take that money and go to college. He went to NYU, New York University. He graduated 6 years later with his master's degree in politics. He bought a house and got married to the woman of his dreams. He had a daughter, and named her Maria. Maria Dream Frachelle.
