• “What have you done to me?” Tears ran down the woman’s face as her fingers traced along a crack in the side of her face.
A twisting, formless hand gripped her shoulder, “That is a reminder of your death my dear,” A long writhing finder lifter her chin. Tears ran down her porcelain face as she stared up at the hideous creature before her.
“This is your home now. You belong to me now.”
Chains rattled as the creature walked away from her. The girl sat silently on the cold stone floor, numb from the creature’s cold touch.
“Why me,” she choked out. The creature stopped at the head of the staircase, a gurgled laugh came from the form.
“You child, wanted something more. You killed in cold blood, you craved for death. You killed your tribesmen. If I remember correctly, you thought that death was beautiful. I granted your wish child.”
She dropped her eyes to the floor, the creature laughed again, its vocal chords shifted from one sound to the next. Chains clicked against stone as he left the room.
The girl Stood and walked to a candle set into the wall. She placed her hand above the candles flame. She lowered her hand into the flame, unable to the feel the candles burning kiss. She looked at the burn mark on her hand. Her burned flesh slowly mended itself. Within seconds the mark was gone. With a small laugh she walked over to one of the tower room’s large windows. She laughed quietly to herself she swung her legs over the windowsill. Her laughter grew to hysteria as she threw herself over the edge.
