Victoria stared up at the twilight sky - which for a second, seemed to be a deep scarlet. Upon squinting in disbelief, the sight of a winged creature screeched and the sound of it's wind-cutting wings were enough to make the young female cringe.
She placed a palm on the cool glass of the silver Porsche and glanced inside.
"That's.. Wonderful. Just great!" She sniveled in the process of her failed attempt to jerk the door open. Her car keys were there, glistening on the leather car seat. 'Bet you wish you had the convertible now...' she hissed to herself. A ghastly face pressed against the window, fangs bore.
Then, to exacerbate; There was a flash of white across the sky, and not too long after a deep rumbling followed. Just minutes after she turned and looked up, the sky ripped open and angrily dumped buckets onto the unfortunate town. She inhaled as the cold liquid beat her face and overall body.
The merciless waterfall-of-rain stung the poor girls face as she trudged to the front door of the three story Victorian manor. It was quite a walk from her car to her home - due to the 12-inch rain and fashionista heels.
About halfway there, a figure caught her eye - it appeared to be standing there on her balcony, facing the glass door that lead back into her bedroom - the Master bedroom. Her lips parted some in disbelief and she stepped closer, her eyes still locked on the stranger. Within a closer view, she could see it was indeed a male. The glass reflected, surprisingly, nothing. Figuring this was just the after effects from the many drinks she had - she continued on her way and finally reached the front door.
The oak door opened to darkness - and the light switch didn't seem to work. Groping along the walls hoping to find a candle of some sort, the door slammed behind her. And something else happened, it locked as well. But, no one was there. There wasn't anyone behind her (as far as she could see, which she couldn't.), and it struck a nerve in Victoria. A tight chest made itself known as she breathed heavily as she glanced around, still moving silently throughout the home. The lights turned on.
Victoria glanced around at her now lit surroundings. Nothing was there except for the furniture. Like the house, it seemed just as old fashioned - and electronics were nowhere in sight - besides the phone on the wall by the fireplace.
Shoes off, she tipped up the stairs with caution, creaks making her cringe. Reaching the second floor, she peeped around and continued up to the third floor. Her footsteps were muffled by the rug that covered the halls and the glass chandelier rattled a bit from the sudden chill. Swallowing, she grasped the golden doorknob and slowly pushed on the door leading to the master bedroom. The door creaked open.
The room was brightly lit, and it didn't hold anything suspicious. The window, however, was open - and the curtains danced with grace as it also let in the cold air. "That must have been the chill.." She whispered, stepping inside the bedroom.
All was well and normal - what could she had to fear? Still, she stepped out onto the balcony and peeped around. Nothing. No clues or anything of someone else being up here. "It was the drinks - for sure." She turned with a sheepish chuckle and came face-to-face with a pale figure. His jaw was perfect and his hair fell over his right eye - the rest stood in spikes at the back of his head. His glare was cold and it seemed to burn a hole right into her chest.
Her lips parted to speak, but the stranger lunged forward - fangs bore as the two flew off the balcony, said fangs sank into her neck.
A blood curdling scream was heard and she landed on the roof of the Porsche - the man had vanished.
And then she woke up.
