• “We have to get to Homeroom,” he explained while hauling her to Mr. Saber’s room. As he spoke, the hallway was slowly filling up with students going to homeroom. “Since we have the same homeroom, we can go there together.”

“Ok…” Georgia said suspiciously. She wasn’t so sure why he was being so kind, but she was going to try to fit in, no matter what it took. She just hoped that it wasn’t something really nasty, like kissing someone who she didn’t like.

“You won’t have to something disgusting to fit in,” he said as if he read her mind
“How did you know what I was thinking?” She asked.

“I don’t, I’m not a mind reader.” He said, surprised. “Did you really believe that?

“I don’t know what to think anymore.”

"Oh don't you?" He asked with a smirk.

    "No, not really."

    "Then you better start believing."

Georgia didn't know what was going through her heart, but she loved it. She thought that she had a crush on Jacob, but she wasn't sure because she had never felt it before.

"C'mon. We had better ask Mr. Saber where you should sit."

"O.k. Why are they all staring at me?" She asked fearfully.

"Don't worry about it; it's just something weird that they're doing." Jacob said with a fierce look in their direction.

"O.k." Georgia could still feel their stares, though as she walked with forbidding up to the front of the room.

"I'm Georgia," she introduced herself to all her teachers. They all said the exact same unnerving thing. "I know who you are, Georgia," They say in a gentle tone.

    "O-okay." She always answered.

And as Jacob led her away, he said "See, they already know you! That means they accept you!"

And now Georgia was in her totally awesome room, staring up at the ceiling. Her room was a bright, cream colored walls and shag carpet with an equally cream colored bed with drapes, a couch with a T.V., and a bunch of really cool paintings that represented her style.

The only reason why her "puppy" had left her is because he promised to meet her tomorrow by her locker. "Great," she responded in what she hoped was a
    bright, cheerful voice.
In fact, she was already tired and exasperated with his never ending chatter and following her everywhere. As she fell asleep, she hoped that tomorrow wouldn't be as bad as today.

Georgia woke up to the smell of fried eggs and bacon. At least it isn't as bad as waking up to the smell of unwashed socks, she thought to herself.

When she went downstairs, her Mom and Dad gave her a hug and fed her breakfast. Then when she was done, she was hustled off to school. I also hope that mushy gushy stuff would wear off too. Georgia thought dismally as she walked through the school doors.

She was ambushed by a brunette haired girl immediately. "Hi, sorry I didn't catch you earlier; you were being followed by Jacob." She said with a smile.

“Um, hi, are you Marcia?” Georgia assumed.

The girl smiled again. “No, but you are close. I’m Maria.”

“Oh… I was really close though.” Georgia smiled too.

“I know this sounds really dorky, but I was wondering if you want to be friends?” Maria’s smile faltered.

“No! I would love to be your friend.” Georgia hurriedly responded.

“Good, now come on. We share homeroom.”

“Ok. That’ll help me get rid of my “puppy!” Georgia did air quoits around the word “Puppy.” Maria giggled.

“C’mon, before you’re puppy finds you again!”

“Point taken!!!” Georgia held up her hand in mock defeat.
