• Klo runs with her friend, P.T. She then gets a call,

    "Klo?" a voice said, Jane.

Klo knew who it was, so she answered worriedly, "Yeah, what's up?"

Jane hesitates. Her voice quivers. "He...he's dead. Marts dead...!"

Klo drops her phone and runs to her house. Her mother speaks in spanish saying, "Aye! Mia, what's wrong?" Klo just panicks with a weak mind, stuttering "I don't know." She turns on the news and see's that news lady speaking, and a picture of Marts Henry.

"...nd dead. Marts was found by his mother, Hace Henry. She panicked as she picked up a few retainers of demerol, morphine, and other prescription drugs. She called the hospital. But, after 2 hours in the emergency room, doctors reported Marts henry dead...."

Klo froze with tears in her eyes.

A week later, the first day of 7th grade.

    "AHHH!"

Klo jumped a little as she heard her friend scream in excitement. She faked a grin. It wasn't enough to fake that she was excited, but enough to fake that she wasn't lost. She hugged her friend and they went to homeroom. She saw familiar faces, and unfamiliar faces. But she still didn't know the point of being nervous, or excited, or tearing up about the first day of 7th grade. She just...wanted a break from all this. All the happiness that everyone was having. Not having every little thing remind them of a death.

At break, she still felt cold inside. But her friends were just as excited as when you see a damn Jonas Brother. Klo was excited as the time she moved away from San Jose to Salinas when she was 10. Even the popular kids had no heart to it. They just laughed, talked about who they kissed during the summer, how many parties they went to, and who crashed their party and were happy about it. She even saw that a--hole Bruton.

When she went to her last period, her teacher, Mr. Lock, didn't even look like he graduated from college yet. Coincidentally, he hasn't. He tried to remember everyone's names after asking people who's-who. But, once he got to Klo...he knew. Mr. Lock knew her name because, when he was in the 2nd grade, he liked this girl he sat next to, Klorina. He would try to impress her, but she acted like she was to good for him.

And when she told him to call her Klo, he did. He went again, naming kids row-by-row. She was so sure that he'd get her wrong, because he was bad at this game. But he said, "Klorina, aka Klo." He knew "KLO" because he also said when he was in high school, he was in love with the most popular girl in the school, Kloe, aka Klo.

When she went home, she just fell on her bed. And just...slept like a doll....

The next day, rotate day, a kid named Graier, kept bothering Klo. Her friends were talking about clothes. The populars were still being their selfish selves. The girls in her 6th period, Mr. Lock, sat in the front of the glass wearing purfume! He still remembered her name, he even called her Klo. 2 days, life wasn't so good...till he came...

    "Klorina?"
