• Adrian sighed, leaning back on his bed.
“Oh man…Really hit a nerve on Soichiro this time…” He thought to himself, recalling that evening’s events. Shortly after their small…scuffle, their mother had called them down to dinner. In a rather unusual turn of events, the two sat and glowered at each other the entire meal, instead of their usual non-stop conversation. After they had eaten, Soichiro immediately retreated to his room, locking the door and refusing to speak to, or even look at Adrian. So, instead of talking to his brother, Adrian sat by the phone, hoping for a very special someone to call him. As the minutes ticked by, he finally heard and felt his cell phone ringing in his pocket. As fast as he could, he pulled it out, flipping it open and holding it to his ear.

“Hey there, foxy!” A sweet, cheerful voice said over the line, making Adrian smile from ear to delicately-pointed ear.

“Hey there yourself, my baby skulfy.” Adrian chuckled, glad that he had gotten a call from his beloved mate.

“How’re things where you are?” His beloved Drew asked him. Adrian sighed a little.
“Well, besides the fact that Soichi-kun and I are fighting again, not much to report. What about you, love?” Drew giggled.

“They’re going fine, Adrian. I miss you, but what else is new?” Adrian sighed wistfully.

“I know, baby. I know. I can’t wait till we can be together again, either” He said, as Drew blew a soft kiss into the phone.

“Adrian, I know how much this means to you, and you know I promised you that I’d wait as long as it took. I know you’ll find them, and then we can all be happy, right?” As he heard Drew say this, he couldn’t help but flop back on the bed, smiling as wide as he could.

“Yep. That’s right. I just hope it’ll happen soon.” Drew murred softly over the phone, and Adrian looked at the ceiling, thinking of how much he loved the younger Skulf.

“Well, then I can wait for you. No matter what, I’ll always be your mate. Promise.” Drew said with his usual comforting happiness. Adrian murred and blew a soft kiss to the love of his life.

“That’s really sweet of you. Hey, I wish I could talk longer, but I gotta get some homework done, okay? Love you lots!” He said cheerfully.

“Love you, too, my foxy. I’ll talk to you later then~!” Drew said, and hung up the phone. Adrian sat up with a sigh, flipping his phone closed as he walked over to his desk and sat down, staring at the stack of homework he had to do.

“You know what? Forget homework. I’ll do it eventually.” Adrian thought to himself, and then reached into a drawer and pulled out a small, nondescript notebook and opened it to the first blank page.

    Dear Diary:
Today was my first day at Hadenview High School. This makes my fourth school in 2 years. I haven’t hardly been in this town for a week, and yet I really have taken a liking to it. Maybe it’s just that that makes me think that it’ll be here that I’ll find them. It’s been a long time since I saw them last, and maybe I won’t recognize them when I see them, but somehow, I will know it’s them. I promised them…and myself that I’d find them all those years ago. And that’s a promise I won’t break. But it has been 2 years since then…Maybe I’m starting to lose hope a little. No. Can’t think like that. I gotta be positive. Otherwise, what would I have left? Anyways, no sign of either of them yet, but it’s only been a day so far. In other news, Soichiro is mad at me again. Madder than normal. He always get so defensive about his being straight, even though we’ve fooled around a few times, and he keeps saying he finds guys attractive. But this time was worse than any other. Wonder why?
I’ll have to ask him about it tomorrow.
    Anyways, goodnight, Diary!

Adrian shut his diary, then sighed and started working on the tedium of his homework…
