• -----Kharu chewed on his lip nervously as he stood on his best friend's porch. Just past the door was the home that Jinto Nakazawa resided in. Jin and Haru had been friends since they could remember. They always did everything together, and loved every minute of it. They had promised back in fourth grade that when they became interested in dating girls, they wouldn't let it get between them. Kharu now faced a problem though, because for the past year and a half he had started getting feelings towards someone. This someone was everything to him. He couldn't imagine anyone ever taking them away from him without feeling bad about it.
-----Kharu's shaking hand reached out through the wintery night ari to touch his index finger to the doorbell. His heart raced and he quickly adjusted the toque on his head that held his blond hair in his eyes, Kharu was a rather adorable looking boy. He looked like he was 14, but was really 17! Sporting soft blond hair and curious green eyes, he was simply a doll. He usually dressed like he was getting up early Christmas morning. There was rarely a time when he wasn't wearing something childish that fit him perfectly.
-----Although on this night it was different. Tonight he was wearing a thick, navy blue sweater he had borrowed from Jin years ago, and a loose pair of jeans.
-----Inside he saw Jin's mother's figure pass in front of the door, and he voice shout for him to come in. Since Kharu was the only one that used the doorbell, they already knew it was him without even looking. Opening the door he slipped inside, only to be tackled by a half-dressed Saru. Saru was Jinto's little brother. He was four, and resembled Haru more than anybody in his family.
-----"Are you sleeping over?" he asked excitedly as Kharu forced the shirt he was handed over the kid's head. When he shook his head,Saru's excitement dyed, and he pouted.
-----Kharu pointed to the stairs and asked. "He's upstairs?" Getting a nod and a warm smile as a reply, Kharu kicked off his shoes and made his way up the carpeted stairs. Jinto's house wasn't that big, but they made it look beautiful.
-----Taking the usual path at the top of the stairs, he found himself standing in front of his best friend's bedroom door. The black wood door was the only thing between himself and the one he was about to confess to. He was so nervous, taking off his hat and stuffing it in his pocket. Closing his eyes, he took in a long breath and exhaled before turning the glass doorknob.
-----"Mom, I told you t- Kharu-Haru!" Jinto laughed happily, throwing a pillow at him from his bed that was crammed into the corner only five feet away.
-----Jinto had definatly grown up into a handsome boy. His hair was almost black, framing his face in it's straightened fashion, just dangling past his shoulders. He was tall, almost six foot, but not quite, and with a gorgeous body. It was obvious that he worked out on a regular basis. Jinto dressed in jeans and whatever T-shirt he happened to pull out of the drawer in the morning. He was the complete opposite of Kharu, but the same age.
-----"H-hey," he smiled nervously. Kharu had no idea what to expect from the other teen when he told him. What could he even begin to say to him?
-----"Oh! Haru, I forgot to tell you before we went on Christmas Holiday. I'm going to ask Kriten out on Christmas. She's crazy about me, and I really like her. It's perfect!" Jinto smiled happily. His voice was just so beautiful.
-----Kharu bit his lip, turning around and leaving. The door shut softly behind him while he raced down the stairs. Saru got up from his spot on the floor to run to him, but stopped halfway. The tears falling down Kharu's face stopped him. Why would Kharu be crying? was all the boy could wonder.

-----"Kharu?" Jin's voice called from upstairs. Kharu's crying worsened and he hurried to pull his worn out Reeboks back on before taking off out the dor.
-----Jin was at the top of the stairs, a confused look on his face.
-----Kharu ran down the sidewalk. The snow crunched beneath his feet, and some even seeped in and numbed the flesh, but he didn't stop. Crying and running were two things that Kharu hated, he despised them, even though that's all he wanted to do that moment. He just wanted to keep running and crying until he passed out. At least then he would be away from Jin. He didn't want to see his friend at all right now, it would just make his crying even worse.
-----"Kharu!" Jinto's voice yelled down the street. "Kharu, wait up!" Jin was a lot faster than Kharu, and was catching up quickly without even trying.
-----Kharu stumbled over an ice chunk and that's when Jinto caught him.
-----"Kharu!" he panted heavily. Usually he didn't get tired this quickly, but the icy air that filled his lungs was painful and didn't give him enough oxygen.
-----Kharu's body shook in Jinto's hold he had around his waist. Giving one last little burst of strength, Kharu pulled away and ran ahead, only to find himself on the ground moments later. He was such a klutz.
-----"Kharu, stop running, you're not going to get very far anyway," Jin sighed, crouching down next to the fallen boy.
-----"Sh-shut up!" he sobbed into the snow under him. He didn't even want to lift himself up enough so that he wouldn't suffocate, Kharu didn't want to see Jin's face at all. He didn't want to hear his voice.
-----"Come on, Kharu, you need to-"
-----"Don't touch me!" Kharu screamed as he pushed himself up after pulling his arm away from Jin, which was usually really hard because Jin was strong.
-----"Kharu, calm down," Jinto coaxed softly. "I didn't do anything to you."
    -----"Lier!"
-----Jin's face got a bit angry. "I did nothing to you!" he yelled.
    -----"You fell in love!"
-----"So did you! All you ever do in that damn notebook of yours at school is draw hearts with a name in them, but you never show me! At least I admit to you I like someone! Al least I trust you enough to tell you that!"
-----"It was your name," Kharu whispered softly.
    -----"What?"
-----"In the hearts. Your name was in those hearts," Kharu whispered as he rubbed his eyes with his sleeve.
    -----"You..."
-----"I love you!" Kharu cried, grabbing the front of Jin's shirt and pulling him close enough to kiss him. Standing on his tip toes, he pressed his lips to those of the dark haired beauty before him.
-----Jin didn't move, he just stood there. His body was frozen like the icicles on the tree above them. It seemed like years passed before his eyes finally closed, and his perfect lips kissed the other male back.
-----Kharu cheeks heated up, and he released his hold on Jin's shirt to wind his arms around his neck.
-----Jin's body shook from the cold, and it tickled Kharu enough to make him have to pull his lips away and giggle. Jin was only wearing a thin T-shirt and track pants. No shoes or socks, so it was obvious he was shivering, no shaking.
-----"Jin...," Kharu whimpered into his chest, "you can hate me now."
-----"Hey.., Kharu, can we talk about this inside? I'm kinda cold," Jin laughed.
-----Kharu nodded slowly and waited for Jin to start walking, but he didn't. With Kharu looking puzzled, Jin got down on one knee facing away from him.
-----"You'll just fall again. Get on. Now," Jin demanded, and Kharu did as he was told. Wrapping his legs around Jin's waist, he held onto his shoulders as he was lifted off the ground, higher than he was used to.
-----While Jin brought them back to his house, snow started to fall slowly.
-----"Jinto..," Kharu whispered, yawning softly. "Do you hate me?"
-----"I hate you for not telling me," Jin answered honestly as he made it up onto the porch. "Alright, get o-"
-----"Kharu's gentle snoring got to him before his words made it out. A warm smile stretched Jin's lips, and his dark eyes filled with happiness.
-----Opening the door awkwardly, he made it inside without disturbing the sleeping body on his back. Jin's mom was about to say something, but stopped. She knew Kharu was a light sleeper.
-----By the time Jin had Kharu laying down on his bed, and dressed for sleeping, he was too tired to do anything to himself. As he crawled over Kharu to curl up on his own side, he turned off the lamp and looked at the clock. It was 12:30am.
-----Smiling softly, he pulled Kharu close to him, and kissed him lightly.
    -----"Merry Christmas, Kharu."
