• Leaning against the car with her umbrella over her head, she waits for

her brother to get out of school. Her phone buzzes and she flips it open to see a

text from that brother himself saying he's going home with someone with a name

she doesn't recognize. What a waste of time waiting for him. She pulls her car

keys from her back pocket and walks around to the drivers side and gets in. She

starts the car, puts it in drive and starts to pull out of the space only to be stopped

by foolish high schoolers walking behind moving cars. She knows she had more

sense than that when she went to the school. Oh well. As she waits for the crowd

to pass she turns on the radio and puts it on her favorite station, only to look up

to see a boy in front of her car just watching her. She throws them an odd look

and drives away seeing as the crowd finally cleared. As she drove, however, she

couldn't help but notice in her rear view mirror that the boy was still just standing

there watching her drive away. She pushed it to the back of her mind and focused

on getting to where she was going. Why should she worry about some random

    odd boy?
