• Chapter 3

“Sir!” The advisor was yelling for Cloud. “Sir! What is your decision on the terms?”

    “I will answer tomorrow.”

    “But sir-”

    “Tomorrow I am tired.”

    “Yes sir.”

Cloud rose from the throne and walked down the length of the room and disappeared from view. He had reappeared in the corridor near his room and entered. He walked towards the bed and sat down. It was still light out as his mind wandered off again about his memories of the war.

Walking through the damaged city looking for any evidence of the attackers identity. His red eyes had scanned every direction for several minutes until he spotted a flag waving in the breeze. He ran towards it and stopped after a minute of running as it was only twenty feet away.

He knelt down and examined the flag. Its colors were an anagram of the Ikara; Red with gold where as the Ikara’s was gold with red. Further investigating he found the symbol of the attacking country with this he smiled knowing his father could identify this symbol. He had taken the flag from the pole it was wrapped onto and had teleported home with magic. He arrived outside the throne room and walked in triumphant with his findings,

“Father! I found a symbol of the attackers, care to take a look?” He walked the length of the 100 yard room. Upon arriving at the front of the throne of the tiny tyrant king and presented the symbol.

“Tristain Kingdom, with this we can attack back but we need to have three other generals besides you and your brother.”

“Very well I will go get fitted for my armor.” This word he left the room and headed towards the armory.

The armory was a large room standing 30ft high and 50ft long. The walls were covered in various weapons and armors. Rows of advanced combat spells were in the rows for young mages being brought into battle. Cloud yelled for someone to start fitting his armor on him as he picked up two swords he forged himself. One soldier came with his armor and left. Cloud sighed seeing that the suit of armor didn’t fit him being a foot short.

“Hey! is armor standard for all soldiers?” Cloud yelled at one of the nearby soldiers.

“Yes, all armor is at the standard height of five feet eleven inches.”

“Could you make a new suit for me? Mine is short a foot.”

    “Yes sir.”

“Thank you.” Cloud smiled at the soldier who had walked off to get the appropriate armor.
He picked up the swords looking at them and ran his finger down it gently. He turned his finger towards him seeing the blood trickle from gash the sword gave him. He smiled approvingly seeing how sharp the blade was. The clanging of armor at his feet turned his attention to the armor and smiled. This was just right as he had put on the armor it fit him and didn’t restrict his movements in the slightest. The armor’s color didn’t show the empire’s colors being silver with blue. On each shoulder held the symbol X as well on the back. He turned heel and told the one other soldier to give the order to assemble the army.
