• Haven walked down the sidewalk to school. There was a boy in the way Move. she thought rudely. The boy just looked at her with his coal black eyes and said, "I apologize." Haven was frozen. His black, shoulder length hair fluttered in the wind, and his pale skin was almost see-through in the new light of the sun.
"Can you move? I need to get to school." Haven snapped.
"I am sorry. My name is Tsa." he made it sound like ah with an st at the beginning.
    "Haven." she growled.
    "Do you know death?"
"I've almost made him appear a few times, but he's a stubborn little jerk."
That made him laugh. He had a rich, silky laugh. "You are hilarious."
    "Yeah, sure."
"Well, how did you almost make him appear. I really do hope you didn't use that ritual crap." he fake shuddered.
    "Nope, i almost killed someone."
    "Who is that?"
    "My father." she spat.
"How did you plan to kill him?" this made him interested.
"Well, death usually has to come and get the souls, so i put him on the verge of death, and nothing happened except for him screaming his head off."
"Did you finish it?" of course he knew that her father wasn't dead because he would have that feeling, the feeling that even after 100, 000, 000, 000, 000 years he still didn't understand.
"Nope, i let him go which i really regretted." she winced at some memory.
    "What happened."
"Let's just say i hate flowers." then she shoved him aside. This conversation was getting too revealing for her tastes.
Tsa turned. Her hips here shaking not in a 'i wanna show the junk in my trunk' way but in a 'i sassy witch and you can't do anything about it' way.
Tsa looked at her hand which she was trying to hide but he caught a glimpse of a beautifully carved leaf on the top of her hand. He could practically feel the knife hit her skin and drag across while she was screaming and kicking, but nothing helped.
Tsa vanished into the shadows to a dying person somewhere in Africa who was suffering if he didn't come.

School was just starting, and the teacher was calling out names. "Jessica Aliborth?"
"Present!" cried out a blond girl in the direct middle of the front.
"Leslie Anderson?" the teacher called her name.
    Haven. she snarled mentally.
"Leslie? I know you're here." the teacher was looking at her. Have looked up from underneath her black hoodie.
She saw the teacher looking at her and looked around mockingly. "I apologize, i don't know a Leslie. My name is Haven, but i'll let you know if i find a Leslie." she almost cracked a smile at the teacher's angry expression. Almost.
After that class Haven walked to lunch. She had first lunch, but she was hungry so she went to eat.
"Leslie?" asked the principal from behind her.
She smiled evilly and turned around turning that smile into an innocent expression. "Yes, Mrs. Greene?" she practically radiated innocence.
"Don't you have second lunch, next period?"
    "Yes,"
"Then why aren't you in your class room?"
"Because i'm hungry." she grabbed her blood-red apple and took a bite.
    "Well, you have to wait."
    "I don't want to."
Mrs. Greene just sighed and walked away muttering, "That child....."
Haven chuckled to herself and took another bite of her apple.

Tsa was at a meeting. "Yes, Jura?" He said her name like 'Zura.' Jura was Fate she decided when people died, were born, and what happened to them.
"Tsa, you know how much you like that girl you met this morn." Jura said in her breathy voice that mystified everyone......except for Tsa.
"Yes, she is....different." Tsa said which rose Jura's eyebrows.
"Well, everyone is different, you must clarify what you mean."
"When she said she tried to 'summon death' i was captivated." he struggled to find the right words in the presence of Fate.
Jura just sighed and said, "I always forget that you are more of a teenager than any Orb i know."
"But i still do a good job."
"But it bores you." she countered.
"Yes, but now i think i have someone to talk to...." he trailed off.
Jura sighed again. "That is why i summoned you. Stay away from her. She is not someone you should be getting to know."
    "And why is that?"
"She is set to die in a month."
"How?" he had to choke out.
"Her father will beat her for being out late. Her head will hit the floor, and will crack." she didn't have to finish. Tsa knew what would happen next: blood would enter her brain and maybe her lungs, she would suffer brain trauma and (if her lungs did fill) drown. Then he would have to come and take her to judging. Her soul would be opened up and everything she had ever done would work with her or against her.
"Can i do anything?" Tsa asked. "Trade her soul for another?"
"This was the best way to kill her. The only other option that fit with her life is get shot in a drive-by. If i did do that then her right arm, left leg, and then her chest. A bullet would be lodged in her lung and then her death would be a lot worse."
Tsa just didn't know what to do.
What do you do when Death falls in love?
