(Author’s note: I’m tired of writing long stories that no one reads) I’m Byron, a spunky 14-year old at Aberdeen High School. I’m usually the silent, tempered minded teen. Unfortunately, surviving these days was going to be a rough. I have to live with only my dad and little sister. We never had much ever since my mom died. I never knew what happened to her, she just disappeared one day. Before my mom left, she always talked about vampires and werewolves and junk. I always thought she was out to scare us, but after the past years, it started to become truth to me. Still, I don’t believe in any of this, but, it’s what my mom talked about all the time. It’s just that she kept saying, “The kids can’t reach 15. They just can’t.” That’s the last thing I ever heard from her ever, before she was gone. Before she left, she left a three scar mark on my back, I don’t know why, but she said it was for my own good.
It’s almost my 15th birthday, but it also happens to be a Full Moon, August 13th, 2011. What really makes me mad is that I have school on my birthday: the SMA summer program. Ugh. Well at least it isn’t a total lost. A lot of my friends surprisingly applied to the program and got in, who of which this also includes the girl I like. Her name is Tori (figure it out guys). We’ve been in the same classes since the 8th grade now. I’ve done all the programs with her, of which includes chorus, archery, cross-country, I even applied for cheerleading, and boy I was scarred for life. Coincidently, by some weird parallel concoction in the universe, Tori and I share the same birthday.
Ok, so it’s August 12th, on a Friday (we get Sunday and Monday as the weekend) the day before my birthday….. and Tori too. Ok, so it’s science class, boring, boring science class. My teacher, Mrs. Hoopsher, was talking about the full moon that was tomorrow tonight.
“Now students. A Full moon is when the moon moves into the shadow of the earth.” She was wrong, but Tori then raised her hand and said, “Um, Mrs. Hoopsher, that’s a Solar Eclipse.” But, Tori was wrong, unfortunately, I knew the right answer.
“Actually, a Full moon is a lunar phase that when the moon is on the opposite side of the Earth from the sun. A Solar Eclipse is when the moon’s shadow crosses the Earth’s surface. Or in other words, it’s when the moon passes between sun and Earth so that the sun is fully covered or,” I said this to Tori, “Partially covered.” She just stared at me with disgusted eyes, “I DIDN’T MEAN IT LIKE THAT!” I almost fell out of my seat. She just smiled. I knew she was joking, was she?
“Wow Byron. How did you know all that?” she just asked that simple question with a sweet, sincere, smile.
“Um, you know, Wikipedia?” Wow did I almost embarrass myself. She giggled a little, and so did everybody else. The bell rang at that moment.
“Class dismissed, have a good day everybody,” said Mrs. Hoopsher.
It was lunch time now, again. Serving the same crap they always serve. Ugh. I couldn’t let myself go down after science. I just wanted to chill with my friends. Surprisingly, I was still friends with my childhood ones. I sat next to my friend Chris, Ryan and his girlfriend, Cecelia, Dan, and another Daniel.
“I can’t believe you almost fell out of your seat Byron. In front of Tori!” said Chris.
“Shut up, Christophe!” I called Chris by his French Name.
“But, seriously, Byron, you can’t embarrass yourself in front of the girl you’ve been crushing on the 8th grade. It’s almost Sophomore year. Make your move!” said Ryan.
“It isn’t that easy,” I said. “I still get lost in her eyes and smiles. Just like 8th grade.” “Ok, Byron, your 15. Get over her looks and ask her out!” said Cecelia.
“Well, how can I when she has an on and off relationship with Carson?” Carson Wilson. I hate him. He’s this guy who still looks like he’s 10, and yet he’s 15, and all the girls like him and crap. I hate that. Too much drama in school now. What’s wrong with the world!?!?
“Well, according to my thesis, she doesn’t right now. Oh, wait, that was Freshman year,” said Dan.
“Apparently, they are going out now,” said Daniel. “Jee, you guys are like saints to me.” I said sarcastically. “Speak of the devil. There they are right now, Tori and Carson…… sitting in a tree K-” said Dan.
“Wow and I’m not 15 yet?” I said.
“But look, dude, they’re fighting!! Ooh, Carson just punched Tori in the arm real bad! Ouch….” said Chris. I turned around and, yes, I did see them fighting. Tori was on the ground crying. Oh yeah, now I was mad.
“Carson!!! What the heck!!!” I rushed over to Tori.
“That’s for not showing up at the movies yesterday!” Carson yelled out.
“Dang it, what is your problem!” I yelled at him. “Stay out of this loser!”
“Look, man, I don’t want trouble, so just apologize her!” I said.
    “NO!”
My heart was starting to throb. That was weird. Usually stuff like that doesn’t happen till a full moon, but you know.
    Puberty.
“Look, Carson, just apologize! You hurt her and you had no right to hurt her!”
“MAKE ME!!!” As much as I hate him as he was, I couldn’t hurt anybody. Well, not yet at least. All of a sudden my body started to fell numb and I started to have a serious migraine. I haven’t felt like this since drinking a Monster. I checked my pulse. If you checked it, you would be thinking I’m dying. I wasn’t. It was like 1000 beats a minute or something like that All of a sudden…….. everything blurred. I think I was almost knocked out. There was…. confusion. I couldn’t tell who was who, and I think someone was kicking me in the back from where my scars were. I think it was Carson. I backed away and slid down on the wall and sat down. My head was down, almost as if I was assuming the dead man position. So many thoughts were coursing through my brain. This wasn’t a time to die. I just couldn’t. “Come on loser! You’re nothing, you’ll never be anything!! You can’t be anyone! You’re nothing special!” I was starting to wonder why Carson was bagging on me. Oh, wait, he hates me. I didn’t know what was happening to me. I checked my pulse again…… I couldn’t feel anything. I tried again. Nothing. I could’ve sworn I was dead, but no. I was still alive. I looked at my hands for a partial second. Was it just me, or did my nails just got sharper. My knuckles became broader, my muscles tensed, and my teeth sharpened. My eyes became narrower. I didn’t know what was happening.
“LOSER! GET UP AND FIGHT!” said Carson. How many times does he have to say loser. I was getting really angry. “LOOK UP, LOSER!” I twisted my head up. “Oh my god….. AAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!!” Carson screamed his butt off. (Ok, now time to go to narrator’s point of view here. I’m going to kick Carson’s butt)
After seeing Byron like this, he ran off dipping. Byron was angry. He smashed his fists into the wall, claws first. Eyes focused on the hunt: Carson. Byron ran off, zipping by everybody. By that time, Carson was already in the hallways, but Byron was too fast. He already confronted him. He stared an evil glare into Carson, striking fear into his very soul.
“You made a mistake to hurt her.” said Byron.
“I’m sorry!! I’ll apologize, please don’t hurt me!!! I beg you!!!” Carson was pleading.
“Too late….” Just before he mauled off Carson’s face, pain came to him. No it wasn’t Byron, someone was hurting him. It was a biting in the neck. Somebody was biting Byron’s neck.

    Tori.

Byron turned his neck to see her. “Tori?” said Byron.
“I know, I’m just as shocked as you are,” said Tori. (Ok, back to my point of view)
    “You’re a-“
“Vampire, I know, and you are a-”
“Werewolf?” I couldn’t believe all those stories, I thought they were lies. No, they weren’t. I couldn’t believe it.

    To be continued…..
