• A Mad Man's Wish

Hatter took the teacup from his hat. He sighed as he took a sip of the warm drink, the fluid going cold in his mouth. Golden disappearing eyes watched him from above as a lavender tail quickly took shape. Hatter smirked slightly and closed his magnificet orbs.

"Ne, Mad man," the oh familar Cheshire whinned. Hatter's crimson eyes opened, a sign he was listening. The Cheshie fully appeared in the tree now. "Where is our ol' girl anyhow? I want to play." Hatter stared at his tea before taking another sip.

"I have not a clue where our Alice is my terrible friend. But . . . " The Mad Man paused and looked up at the sky. Dark clouds began forming once more as a shreiking laugh could be heard ever so faintly. "Things are beginning to worsen."

Cheshire rested his head on his arms, his ears flicking a bit before resting on his head. "But I want to play with Alice," he whinned, pouting about how the human wasn't there. Hatter chuckled at his statement. He set the teacup down on the long table.

"Even if she were to come back to us, dear Cheshire, she wouldn't be able to play." The golden orbs glowered at the man in the hat for a moment. Then, the eyes softened as he understood what his insane friend meant. He groaned.

"I know. But still . . . I miss our ol' Alice quite a cup full." Hatter glanced at the purple cat then took another sip of his tea.

"As do I my troubled pet. But for now, we need to focus on what we're to do when she does." Hatter was right. He was always right. Hatter knew everything about everything. She was coming back, their Alice was. She was coming back, but things would not be as she remembered.

"Ah! I hate that stupid queen! She's what's causing all this normality to happen!" Cheshire screamed. He disappeared slowly in an angery flow. Hatter sighed heavily, removing his infamous hat and running a hand through his black hair.

As the darkness finally took over Wonderland, and the night began to settle, Hatter looked up at the last stars that remained glowing in the sky. He looked towards the brightest one and smiled sadly. He remembered his dear Alice's face. How he loved that face. Ha gazed at the brightest star and wished with all his might.

"Please. Please bring my Alice back."
