• Since there was obviously now way to escape the the pool of darkness, I decided to succumb to it and allow it to swallow. After struggling to get down, I found myself floating in a world of dark-purple matter. I saw myself far away hiding behind a dark meteor but it was different I was looking at my shadow. It lunged at me, so I swatted it with my wings. Weird, I felt injured in the same area I hit my shadow. After exchanging a few blows, it was clear that I had two choices: kill my shadow and die, or allow my shadow to kill me and die.
